Adjustable Quilting Ruler........

I sent out an email to some Aussie girls regarding a TV program we have here in Australia called the New Inventors it wss on tonight.

Tonight they had a quilting invention...........the first ever for the show..........unfortunaley it was not the winner for the night but they do have a viewers choice so maybe you could head here the check out the ruler and most importantly vote............i don't think they realise how many quilters there are out there.............

............the winner will help save lives it was a scaffolding thing and there was also a horse stirrup.........they picked an invention that will SAVE lives............all the invetions were good but I think this ruler will save someones sanity which in turn will save there life like the rest of the inventions............lol.........

here is the website for the rulers............and if you want to buy some go here

.........take care til next time.....Chookyblue.........

Those rulers look like a great invention. Have you thought of ordering one yet? I wonder how they lock and how useful they would be?

Oops! Just checked the other site and saw the price. I may be waiting awhile, what with adding shipping.

Thanks for the heads up on the program - thankfully we are 2 hours behind so had plenty of time to tune in. Looks like a great invention - anything that improves precision in cutting is a good thing!

Hi Chooky,
Watched the show just now - 2 hours behind in WA - and thought the rulers look great! Must admit they do seem expensive - only time will tell.
'Bye - Lurline.

Hey Chookyblue... State of Origin Rugby League decider tonight @ the ANZ Stadium in Sydney was there really something else on...??? LOL. Go The Maroons!!! Have slipped over to the Inventors & voted though... Anything that helps with the Maths is a good thing!

Thanks heaps for the reminder email. I had forgotten and luckily looked at my emails just before 8. I don't think the show did the rulers justice. Maybe if a couple of quilters were on the panel we would have given it more attention.

The panel did love it though , it was just up against some stiff competition. I've voted.

Chooky and Ann-Maree,
I have been wondering since the show and would really like to see the rulers put into practice more -I can see how it would have many advantages. Sometimes, something as simple as cutting strips the same size - occasionally my mind has wandered and I have ended up with one strip the wrong size. I'm sure we'll see a lot more of them.
'Bye - Lurline.

Hi Donna
I missed the program but voted. Tonight I followed the link on your blog and purchased 2 of the rulers. Extravagant I know but I hate maths and cutting is such a chore!
Take Care

Dianne said.. A wonderful friend actually sent me the long ruler. It works so well and the accuracy is right every strip. We all know how easy it is to line up differently each strip. On the line,a little over the line, let the line slip etc. This works for me to make patchwork more accurate so got my vote too. Adjustment is with two screws and quite simple.
