good mail week.........

Oh I love the mailman……….he only delivers mail twice a week but today was pretty good………..these amazing little girls came from the Ric Rac………….man is she one talented blog buddy………..they are so cute…………not sure if they will say something naughty or nice……….nice card tooo.......(management approves)

Then the Pincushion of the month organised by Sarah at Quilt Fabric Delights was tempting me for weeks and weeks since she first blogged about it………….last week I gave into the pressures………..and look what turned up in my mail box this week…………my first pincushion………..

Also in the mail today was this new card………..more markets next weekend........

My birthday finally ended this week………….someone told me you birthday went as long as you got presents………….this parcel was supposed to be here 4 weeks ago but the delivery people don’t deliver parcels in my area so I thought it was lost and finally (after some detective work) discovered it sitting in a depot in town ………….in the mean time the wonder ladies at Aussie Patches have sent out another one……..(still lost)……….no this is the wonderful ruler that I told you all about on the “New Inventors” (aussie show) and after it was on it won the people’s choice award the next week.…………dh organised it secretly…………he did good………

SSCS update…………..have you seen this……………I was in shock……Santa is so organised………..done, wrapped and ready to send…………..wonder where in blogland it will be delivered…………to many countries to choose from……….she even printed the logo and popped it onto the presents……..way to go Lyn…….she even made litttle tags with the logo........

Also thanks for the visits to the new blog…………the snappy friends have got quite a few posts up now………head on over.............

Take care til next time......

Happy Birthday to you Chook - perhaps it will last just a little longer. Love those little Ric Rac girls. Mine is not a rude one, just a typical ME saying. She is lovely. I love the new card too. I am working on mine at the moment. Just got your Snappy email via Junk mail.

The little girl looks familiar, she may have beeen in an advertisement for Lactogen or children's food back in the 1940s. She is adorable. I think our mothers all thought we looked like that at dome time in our life. I know that all my dresses were heavily smocked or embroidered. The material was only headcloth, very cheap, but strarched and ironed up with a sheen on it. Sorry to take so long with my comment. Margaret

Enjoyed reading some of your blog.
Question -- what is a Chooky?
I'm a Texas girl, Limpingalong, and I love photography and quilting. Girl, we are made for each other!

If you are interested in reading my blog drop me a line. I guess you can do that -- I'm new to this.
Right now I have a slide show going that shows pictures taken in Fayette County, Texas, of the Painted Churches. They are really quite lovely. Hope to hear from you!

Oh, yes, this is limpingalong again. My birthday was the 16th and I'm still celebrating!
If you gotta have them you might as well enjoy them! -- right?
