Ruffling.............

A few commenters asking questions lately have ben no reply so I cannot directly answer your question.........but if you see this the fabric on the skirt with the ruffles is from A Day in the Country Emperiors garden........some other fabrics in the range are available here.........

I had a few comments on my ruffling foot............here it is and I did a
strip with the 3 widths of ruffles you can do..........I love it so quick
and fun.........

the foot is huge and intimidating.........front view .........mine if for a Janome machine........

back view side of machine......

.........take care til next time.............
.......Chookyblue..........

  1. I have that ruffling foot to my Husqvarna machine, but don´t understand who to use it, have no instructions.....but it seems to be fun and easy (?)

  2. I love the ruffling. I have a ruffling foot on my Grandmother's old treadle Singer sewing machine, Mum and I used it to do asome of my deb dress (20 years ago). I did't know you could get the same foot for newer machines.

  3. I'm going to see if I can get one for my machine, looks so much easer than doing the old gathering method of pulling strings!

  4. I could not live without a ruffling foot...I had one for my old 1965 top of the range then Singer and it was the first (over expensive) thing I had to add to my Husqvarna D1.
Helena there should be instructions in the packet. Or can you take it to a Hus shop and get them to show you how.
Mind you .......it did not help me get the fabric I had chosen ruffled and on to the two Christmas cushion tops I made last year around now.

  6. Dianne said.. I have just bought a ruffler foot for my new Pfaff 4.0 so they are still out there on even new machines. Saw it demonstrated and thought it looked great. Nice to see your foot and something actually finished off so beautifully using the special foot. I shall have to get working on using mine too.
