It's like micro-blogging via text on your phone.

As I understand ;-)

My friend John Dobbs has had a whole week of blogging devoted to twitter:

I'm WendyJoy on twitter if anyone wants to follow me..

I'm no expert but I think its a way of sending bulk
SMS's to all your friends. ie. "I am baking a cake" and it sends to everyone you are connected with on Twitter. I signed up, never got into it, prefer blogging.

Oh, well, let's just twitter and flap our wings over nothing - we'll stay in the loop!

I had to look it up, and Wikipedia gives an answer if you ask:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twitter

Have a nice weekend, with or without Twitter (or twittering birds, lol)

I also was curious so I looked it up on Wikipedia. For now my life is busy enough with managing my blog and also trying to keep up with reading a long list of blogs and I have decided to not even tempt myself with Facebook or Twitter. Maybe one day I'll cave and do it but I will resist as long as I can. I do not want to add more computer time or I'll never get another stitch sewed.
I may be missing out on some great stuff by my avoidance but I feel better by having limits on my time.

sent you a message on yahoo, but you aren't logged on..... twitter
is like instant message, if you are logged in and reading, like you would twitter that you were, baking a cake, doing sheep work, doing paper work, having a bath
and at the same time, people would know what you were doing......
if you could be bothered to twitter that, and they could be bother to read it of course..... JMHO - of course!!!!

All the youngun's are doing it and some of us old folks....

But I'm not sure that I want a blow by blow of everyone's day...are you?

I am like you. I have wondered what it is. I did away with my cell phone so if it has to do with a cell phone, I am not interested. When my contract ran out on my cell I just thought to myself that I should try it without it. I actually love it. I may get another one someday but for now, I am enjoying the quietness. Twitter? I love blogging and I am like Connie I would be on the computer all day and not get anything else done. I am glad you asked this question because I am like you. I wondered what it is.

I don't know either. But I too have seen it everywhere. I have fallen prey to the Facebook thing, but now Twitter yet.

Hey Donna! Hmmm ... I thought it was what birdies did too, but my techo-geek tells me it's a social networking thingy (my word not his!) similar to facebook. Think I'll stick with low-tech blogging! Oh - had a great time with the gals at the retreat - they were lovely and not at all scary! Tee! Hee! Hee! Bet you're counting down to Nundle now!! Bear Hugs! KRIS

Hi, Donna! :o) All the Twitter hoopla...You're not the only one out of the loop here. I'm out of this loop, and prefer to be...as I don't have a mobile phone now either and like it--no beeping all the time, not messages, etc. Whew...I love blogging best. I write about baking a cake there often enough not to have to Tweet about it too ;o) Happy Days to you & yours!
