Posting Help??????

no excitement here except for Dawnie..........I changed her blog life.............lol........you know I have a few "how to......blog bits" on my sidebar........they have been there for quite awhile now...........and every so often I get an comment or an email saying thanks for the help.............Dawnie had read these awhile ago but thought it was too much but due to her complete frustration with the slowness to upload pics she emailed for a bit more assistance regarding the "emailing pics to your posts" .............not quite sure where she was going wrong (well you try and describe html without using the word in an email) after a few emails we had a phone call and her blogging life has changed............
I am posting this cause it is just something I assumed everyone was on but when I write my posts my compose tab is the one highlighed (see below)..............and I have never used html except for a few extremely rare occassions...........but Dawnies was always in html.............you can read her post here............it's a wonder she ever posted.............
I am sure there are people who know lots more then me but I like to help where I can...........sometimes when I get an email it is something very very simple.............sometimes i can't help but thats life..........gotta have something to learn..........
....
on the flip side...........emails.................
The other thing I get asked is how do i keep up with emails................well as I always reply to comments left on my blog (don't ask a question in a comment if your "no reply" ) the only way I can cope with it is by replying as soon as I open the email..............95% of the time I won't open emails if I can't reply...............if I do open them and don't reply and have a pile to reply to it takes me about 10 times more to get all the replies done................
anyway thats all the boring things I have to say for now.............
happy blogging.................
challenge for the day..............leave 10 comments on blogs you visit but never comment on..............have fun...........you might just make someones day..............
Take care Chookyblue.............

I soent the first few months of my blog life working only in HTML. Life became so much easier when I clicked on the compose button.

Imagine... I once started working with a computer which was in DOS.... way back in the eighties...LOL!
It was awful. I’m so happy to have discovered Apple Macintosh and since my blog is a Wordpress one I‘m a happy camper.

It's always helpful to get advice when you are new. I had the same trouble to start with until I discovered 'compose' and how to use the links. HTML is great for deleting pictures though. Cherrie

Of course I knew you would be able to deliver my exercise in such a clearer format - love the post you did with the pic. Have had quite a few hits from people I havent heard from before.

Hey, this is one I read, but rarely comment on. I used to be an html code blogger- but holy smokes yes, the compose tab IS so much easier!

After reading Dawnie's blog about emailing pics to blogger I finally decided to give it a try and geez I wish I had only listened to you earlier, talk about fast!!
Your little tutorial was easy to follow. I hope those bloggers who never get a reply back from their comments realise they're set to No-Reply and fix it, they're missing out on so much!

I had to go and look at my posting page to see what it was set on. It was on compose so I guess it has always been like that making it easier for me, without me knowing. Even so I appreciate the information in case somehow it gets swapped over - I'll know then for next time. Thanks.

You are wonderful to help other like you do. Well, I can't find out how to put in a link -- for instance, I might say that Chooky Blue is having a wonderful give away -- you can sign up by clicking here. The word here, when clicked on, would send people to your blog. Is that understandable? Do you know how to do that?

Thanks for your advice. It sent me off to do some overdue updating. Mine has always been fast but I could never get my photos where I wanted so hope that now I might.

I love your challenge and have taken it up!

Luckily I have always had the "compose" tab highlighted, otherwise I would have been lost too. html is a complete mystery to me!

Like limpingalong, I would also like to know how to make a link.

Chookie, it worked! But, that was using the whole URL. In your post you have the word Dawnie in a different color and clicking on that name takes you to her blog -- the URL wasn't shown. How do you make the single word a link?

My problem is posting pictures in the order I want them to be and they always disrupt my text. Its like I have to write backwards and post the last picture first and go forward from that?! Also, where is the "no reply" button so that I can make sure I turn it off.
