nervous anticipation...........

no sewing time here again.............to many bugs to have a light on of a night..............
here is a few things I found in my travels yesterday.............lots of snakes...............2 dead on the road (no pics of them).........these 2 were on/near the road (4 in total) the hot weather is getting them out and about....
both big brown snakes.........snapped these out the car window............also a pretty tree I found which I though had flowers from a distance but up close they are pods..........and a spiders web...........

it is getting hot 37deg  yesterday...........hot again today..........cooler on Sunday/Monday

some places around the area have feed some don't..........(our place doesn't have very much)
below is a crop of wheat I saw along the way.............harvest has started for some in the area and for others it is a nervous wait especially since rain is forecast............everyone just wants to get it off the paddocks and into storage...........

here are some of my cows I was checking the other day...........they would like the rain for some green grasses to grow but really we could wait a few weeks until harvest is done..........

Take Care til next time..............

Great photos. I don't know what I would do if I ever saw a snake that big! You are so brave.

Yuck, I am not a fan of snakes they give me nightmares.
You know my garden in Brisbane is that brown too, I think I am over it.

My DD had a snake in her garage the other day only a tree snake in the middle of Brisbane and she saw a couple on her walk to the shop, they too were big brown ones.
If I see one I will die on the spot I am sure of that.

cheers
Christine

Eeeek! You need to post a SNAKE ALERT when you're showing snakes! I hope you get the crops in before the rain!

Hope the rain holds off! Our kids have been away on school camp here in Tassie & they came across 3 tiger snakes on one of their walks...I would have been up the nearest tree!...but they were very casual about it! Love your new header Lisa

Snake season again. My grandmother used to have a snake killer that Granddad made for her. It was a long piece if twisted wire that she kept by the back door, just in case.

You certainly do it tough out there on the land yet you obviously also see the good side. 37 degrees already is too much for me. That is why I love being so near the sea. We get winds most of the time so miss out on the never ending feel of summer.Hope the rain holds of for all of you. Cherrie

The only good snakes are the dead ones! I'm not too fond of anything reptilian except geckos and skinks. It can rain here all it likes- the crops around here still need it.

It's warming up for sure. Although we're back to 15 deg next week. Wacky. Glad you saw the snakes from a safe distance!

Super photos...except for the snakes.

You're experiencing 37 degree weather and we had freezing rain last night. What an amazing and diversified world we live in.

Snakes facinate me. I can't say I'm afraid of them but I do keep my distance since I don't know which are venemous and which are safe.
I hope the weather improves for you!

Seems odd that we are winding down, fall harvest is here and no one can get in the fields do to rain every other day.

Such a dismal sight it is. Would LOVE your warm temps though!!!

it seems like you skipped spring and went straight to summer. i hope that the rain holds off for long enough for all the farmers waiting to get crops in.

Good luck with the harvest. Hope you dont't see too many snakes. I had our first in the garden the other day only a lot smaller than yours. Although they are still venemous when small. Happy days.

just going back through your posts and found this one so I had to comment. I wish I could find snakes this easily! I love going herping but can never seem to find any. Of course, I'd be snapping them from the car window too if I found a brown snake! lol
