bloggy world tour........

some of the comments in my last post got me thinking......how nice would it be to go visit lots of bloggy friends......the girls I have met so far have all been SOOOOO nice......
......this is part of what Lynn (USA) wrote.........
I read Julie's post - maybe you could do a world tour - coming to our houses - making us finish ufo's!
So it got me thinking ......
....where could I actually go on a blog tour....
.......would you have me for a sleep over at your house.....
......we could sew together..........I could encourage you to finish a UFO..........lol..........

Of course funds just won't permit but I can dream so let me know if I could stop in at your place and where you are..........state or country????

.........take care til next time.....Chookyblue.........

Hilltop venue with flat access into High Street available. Must be open to much loud barking and muttered growling. Dog-friendly also helpful ;-)

Many, many UFOs to choose from. All linens and bedding supplied. Airport shuttle available on request. require week's notice to shift proto-teenager from bedroom.

Interested?

You are welcome here in the middle of Canada, up to our ears in snow. I know that you Aussies like to taste a bit of snow once in awhile! My daughter lives in Australia so I get over there every few years. Who knows , maybe I'll do an Australian quilting tour.

Kris said...

Yup. Come visit me Chooky! Good old SA. We live 10 minutes from the beach, 10 minutes from the city and not far from some very beautiful quilt shops!

Terry said...

Do you like snow? You can come visit us in Ohio! I'm sure Emily wouldn't mind sleeping on the couch so you could have her bed while you're here!

North Carolina, outside of Raleigh, I have 3 teenagers so you may want to rethink my house if you are looking for peace and quiet. Which helps to explain my pile of ufo's. We'd have fun though, we'd walk around the lake in the morning, go out to lunch and of course sew.

Teresa aka MarieSews said...

Warm & sunny, beach just a short drive. Lots of UFO's to choose from. Decent fabric stash. Accommodations a bit iffy...Okay, you'd have to bunk in with one of the boys or sleep on the couch but who needs sleep when the sewing machine is running. California's calling!

May Britt said...

Of course you have to make a stop in Norway!!!! Promise to give you a tour in our beautiful country. Perhaps you would try skiing too:)

Teodo said...

Donna you may have a stop in Italy where you can see Milan (where I live) Rome, Venice, Capri.

If you ever find yourself in Arkansas, USA you will always be welcome...just so you know you must like: the country, children, lots of animals, lots of dust! A non-perfectly kept house, decent food, clean sheets and cats who might sleep with you! If you can agree to that, COME ON! It would be fun! Nichole at The Happy Wren :)

You're welcome here in Central Florida, we can sew and shop, and DH loves to talk, he has lots of stories.

Thimbleanna said...

Oh, I would LOVE to have you come to my house! I'm in Indiana USA and it's pretty boring around here, but I could show you lots of corn fields and Amish people LOL!

And holy cow -- I just read some of your other comments -- you have some GREAT places to visit -- can I come with you???

Hey there! If you go visiting Near Philadelphia you could come east a bit to The Garden State of New Jersey, USA.

We could do a shop hop that would take us down the shore and through all three sections of Jersey (Central, South & North).

Of course we could also just play in the basement with my stash, UFO's and quilting machine!

So, when ya comin'?

Unknown said...

Please come to Iceland, I would LOVE to have you and show you around, I don´t know how much sewing I would do!

Anonymous said...

Oh yes! What about a day where we all blog about our town/country, then what we are stitching....
Then what UFO's we have/need advise on???
It could all be by photos?
Different person each weekend?

Let me know if you come to Portugal (a little corner in Europe)!

If you're coming to Norway, it wouldn't be so far away from Finland either :) I could accomodate you easily since one of the children's rooms is already empty and serves as a guest room nowadays. You're very welcome!

I would clear all my sewing stuff off the spare bed in the purple bedroom for you! I live in beautiful Perth and we would probably have to visit as many LQS as possible before settling on a UFO if we got around to it... if your husband came along I'm sure my husband would get along with him just fine and they could stand and shake their heads together at us...

Eva said...

Welcome to Sweden. Lot`s of UFO;s waiting for you.Kram ( Hugs )

Wendyb said...

Have two spare rooms to choose from (now son's flown the coop!) up here in sunny (and sometimes wet) tropical North Queensland. If you like fishing for barramundi and plenty of UFO's to rifle through...you're on a winner!
XX sugary hugs Wendyb :O)

Deb said...

Hi Chooky, yep pop on over, as I have mentioned before there's a bed here for you. May not get a lot of stitching done, but we could talk no stop, eat everything naughty, have a couple of glasses of whatever you fancy but before that of course we would have to tikki-tour round the quilt shops.
Actually if we planned it well, I could get the other south island bloggers round also.
There'd be no hope for any of us.... great fun
hugs Deb
P.S Bring some stitching just in case.

Deb said...

P.S. You'll have to view everyones homes through Google earth to see where you're going.....
what fun.

Come to the Hague (netherlands), but not next month. Because I'm going to visit my blogfriend Marne for the third time in Seattle. The only problem is that I come home with more UFO's then I left.

Jan said...

There are plenty of UFOs at my place, Chooky! And compared to some of the other places you're invited to, I'm not that far away - Ballarat, Vic. We have a nice spare room, friendly dogs, and two patchwork shops a short drive away. When are you coming??

Libster said...

wow, all these lovely places to visit!! no where exotic or overseas here, just good ol melbourne!!
Can move the noisy one into her sisters bedroom, you would have to suffer them grizzling about being in close quarters and of course there is my fabulous famous farting doberman to ream out your nostrils each evening.

Just read through all these comments. Seems like Adelaide/SA is a goer!I know you would have a great time staying with all us South Aussie girls! Sounds like a party! (Can you tell I just came home from a weekend retreat???)

Oh, please... you have to come to Oregon, USA also. I'm on the Eastern side. We'll tour the Walla Walla Valley wine country and eat Walla Walla Sweet Onions if you come in June. I have a spare room and lots of cats to snuggle with. Only a few UFO's but lots of fabric to play with. Then I'll take you to Seattle, Washington to see the Space Needle and Mt Rainer and the Cascades and Olympic rain forest and my sister's Koi pond. You are going to need a year to make this tour.
