Not sure what the temperature is here in Ballarat, Donna, but it sure is cold too. Lucky I'm on holiday and can choose not to leave the house - but I still need my long winter coat on just to go to the letterbox. Looking forward to my trip overseas and warmer weather.

Well this post answered my question in my email, didn't it. It is certainly cold here as well, with snow forecast for Saturday. Brrrr! I think it is time to go and climb into the warm flanny sheets.

Today was freezing! Too cold to do much other than huddle inside with some knitting and a cuppa.

I know it's cold for you, but I'd love to live someplace where a heavy frost was the worst we got in the winter. Here in Ohio it gets much colder and stays that way and snows way too much for me. Love the frost pictures, btw! :0)

It's blooming cold over the ditch here in NZ too, the icey winds cut right through you. Are we just getting older and feeling it more or is this weather of ours changing? I'll go with changing weather : ))

Bl***y freezing here, I'm just not leaving the house ('cept to grab another bit of firewood). I did hear that we're looking at a return to winters of old, pre drought days, certainly feels like it. Stay warm..

We've had a nice warm start this morning with drissle and a temp of 4C. It was -3.9C here on Monday morning. Brrrr! It's been mighty cold. Even though we've started out warmer today, it's only supposed to reach a top of 9. It does remind me of the winters we had when I was a child. Rember those days? When you had to wear a coat to step outside all winter long? LOL! I'm struggling to convince my 9 & 11yo they need a coat. They're not used to it being *that* cold.

We have had .....!! weather for nearly a month and a half now only a few sunny days...

I recently complained to my scottish brother in law about the temp one day which was wind
chill -5...

He politely informed me that I "dinna know what cold is"...in a heavy scottish accent although he has been in NZ over 20 years now...

My heart is with you, bring back some summer..

Ta Chris

OK I agree! I'm definitely not a winter person! Bring back the summer warmth and quick please! The only good thing is that it is perhaps good weather to sit inside and stitch by the fire! OK OK ... some of us have to go to work! Have a great but chilly day!!

Perfect temperature to use all those lovely quilts you have made - especially the lovely flannel one you made last year - so rug up on the lounge and continue to do some of our lovely hand sewing. Enjoy the cold snap - also chilly here, but love snugging up to a nice handmade flannel quilt.

It's cold here in Illabarook too...great pj and slippers weather and sewing in front of the fire. Looking forward to the Summer

I love it! The frost sparkles like diamonds & the air feels fresh...don't like the cold toes much though!

And here we are in the midst of summer! Of course, Hurricane Alex has moved into the neighborhood so ours temps are lower than they were a week ago!

Beautiful photos. I hope it warms up for you soon.

Yes, I'd be one of the people thinking it's not *that* cold. Of course, you'd be laughing at what we consider a heat wave (in the 30s (C)) :)

Just remember, when it's cold out you need to stay warm. That means you need to stay indoors and quilt!

Hi.
Thanks for the great reminder of how luckey we are in Norway- who got summer - at last ;-)
I love the way the world changes all through the year.
Have a great day - it is a blessing to have a lot of quilt and a nice cup of tea on days like yours now.
Warm hug ;-)
