Cross Stitch Display part I...........

Hi Everyone............welcome to the cross stitch display.........I got thinking about my cross stitches when I saw this post by Jean ............I haven't done any samplers like hers but would love too.......just don't think  they were anywhere in the shops I was able to go too.........and I wasn't on the internet then.............what I have done was mostly between 1992 and 1997............no real idea why I stopped.......I have some projects part way thru....I will be having a go at finishing some of them after Christmas......at the bottom of this post is a list of blogs for 22 23 26 others girls who said they were going to do a post.......
....feel free to put up a post of your own work but make sure you leave your blog address in the comments so I can come and check it out............

All these are under glass so not the best photos........

This was Mr Chookyblue's wedding present. Took me approx 120 hours of secret stitching..............He has another one very similar of trains I will show you next Saturday his Aunt stitched for him for his 21st.
I really enjoyed this.........
loved watching the cars come to life.............

I remember a nightmare with I think the front tyres on this one............had to undo a lot of stitching............

"Wildflower Bouquet"
Australian native flowers...................this one was especially for me and I just love the flowers and colours.........it hangs above my bed...........
Luckily I found a photo of this one.........this is framed and hanging in my brothers home............as a child he knew every word just about to the movie "The Man From Snowy River"
based on a famous Australian poem off the same name by Banjo Paterson.
I have a couple of others I have done and never got photos.............one for a friend's daughter it was a aussie bush baby sampler and another flowery one with some butterflies I framed and donated to an auction.........I wished I had kept it but I know it went to a good home..........

Thats all I have to show you today..............I will get another post organised for next Saturday...........in the mean time go check out the following girls who are also doing Cross Stitch displays this Saturday...........

Catch you later..............

Beautiful stitching, Chookyblue! The majority of x stitch is feminine, so what a lovely surprise to see a manly design. Your hubby must have been surprised and flattered to receive your secret, very special, handmade gift.

Lovely work! I would love to play along but there are just too many other things on my to-do list and I don't have any digital photos of my cross stitch- probably tells you how long ago I made one. I know I stopped cross stitching cos I ran out of walls to hang everything on! Maybe I could join in next weekend?

Thanks for this Chooky, it's been really interesting touring round all the blogs and seeing the cross stitching that people have done. I think I need to find a small sampler that I can make in between everything else lol.

Hello Donna,

Love your cross stitch. I think I have done more cross stitch for Ian than me. My favourite is a 1948 FX Holden Car.

Hello Chookyblue,
You visit my blog and comment on the pincushion swap, thanks for your visit and nice words! Here is a site we in Holland love to visit and get free X stitch patterns of!http://gazette94.blogspot.com/2008/11/grand-abecedaire.html if you follow it you come direct on the pattern that I am stitching at the moment, but on the left side you find many more free patterns. On my blog you find "borduren" on the left and there you can see what I stitched lately and also the pattern my daughter made for me. On the right you find the name Willy, she also makes the most beautifull X stitch patterns. Hope you like what I send! Greetings,
Lida
