the fun at the quilt show........

Wow a busy trip to Sydney sure does take it's toll...............7 hrs down isn't as bad as the 7 hours home.............oh man I am still catching up.......exhausted.......I started to get sick on the way home and spent Monday on the lounge not well and had to work yesterday and finally today I am getting some posts organised before I head to work.............(added: feeling much better now thanks)
&&&&
No 1 stop was Hatched and Patched...............here is Annie's new quilt from her new book "Some Kind of Wonderful"
you're not supposed to take photos in this area but Anni let us take and share these pics of her stand..........
here are lots of the projects from the book too..............Anni had some kits for different things from the book so I got a kit for the stitchery bag and also a pincushion..........(oh and just found one for the needlebook too)
there are 3 reasons for me to go to the quilt show...............seeing all the gorgeous stands to shop at, looking at all the amazing quilts and then meeting up with blogger friends................finally putting some faces to names.............
I was so happy to meet Fiona from Peaceful Threads if only for a few minutes as she was heading off to pick someone up................
Sandy (Shiralee Stitches), Cardygirl, me and SandyN (who Cardy stalked lol)
Chinatown for dinner - Me, Cardygirl, Lea (no blog)
Anni's quilt on her stand "In My Garden" current BOM from her shop.......gorgeous but I know I would never get it finished............lots of stitching in this one............
A new pattern............oh course I had to get a kit for these pears.........the plain red and cream ones are hiding behind the big green one........email Anni if you want one of these as I couldn't find them on her sites....
they are called "Pear Tree Pincushions" so cute.........made with Pete's "Four Ewes" dyed wools
we had a blog meet Friday morning.................Shiralee Stitches, Riley's Rambles, Heavens to Bettsy, This Old Aunt Quilts, On My Verendah, Cardygirl, Time to Stitch, Tooo Many Eggs, and me...............all the links are on my sidebar
We got to meet Sue Daley - which was great and she is the tutor at a workshop I am going to next year...............I missed her workshop as that is when we had the blog meet so i went back later and she showed me what to do..............I have everything but just have not started as not confident but i'm going to give them a try the next day I have at the cows.................which might be tomorrow...............
another dinner with the girls..............Darling Harbour with the city lights in the background
it was love to sit around and have time to chat...........

Sylvia Time To Stitch, Cardygirl, me, Anni Hatched and Patched and Anita Rileys's Rambles
Catch you later..............
Chookyblue
PS all the links are in me sidebar for the girls blogs.........

Good times by the look of the pictures. Can't wait for the show in Adelaide although I don't think there will be quite the range there is in the Sydney show.

It's all your fault!
I've been resisting H & P BOM for ages but seeing your photos of the booth and the quilt tipped the balance..... I just signed up!
Oh how I wish I could have visited that booth... I'd be in hock up to my eyeballs right now.
