Chicks.........

Look closely............
Mumma chook hatched out one chicken so we went to some friends and got 8 more and stuck them under in the dark.........she mostly thinks it is a good idea......we've got thru 2 nights.....i'll try and get some better photos of the chickens..........she had one black one but now she has a collection............2 each of silkies, barnevelders, white rhode island reds and gold lace wyandottes

    I wish you lived 'a little' closer!
    Our Bantam died so we've lost our Mama . . . . she was such a good foster Mama too
    What kind of chicken is your Mama? She is beautiful!!
    We have 3 now and I want to get 1 more laying PLUS a bantam to get clucky

  17. Cute chicks, how nice to have spring babies! Gorgous iris, mine are all shades of purple, but looking for some other colours. Love the machine applique, your work is so neat and what a great pattern. Hope you get some rain soon...after my Dad and brother come through NSW today though, so they dont get bogged!

  20. Hope your little chicks are still doing well? We picked up our POL Isa Browns pullets yesterday and I thought I might google some chookie information last night...gee so much I didn't know and I've have had chooks for years!!!lol!
    Is your mother hen a Silver or White laced Wyandotte?
