random nothingness.............

feeling a little lost the last weeks or more.............finally we have had a change in the season.............summer went and winter came............yippee..........we've lit the fire............nothing terribly exciting to report just time taken up with town work, farm work, bookwork (huge YUCK), catching up, going round in circles........please feel free to skip the rest of the post............I'm even weeks behind in my commenting.........
we've had some great rain at our house but not so great at other properties.....
spent several afternoons burning roley poley............
puts out lots of smoke........
it's a quick intense hot fire.........
spectacular pics......
keep you warm at night..........
mushrooms amaze me.........
bursting open the ground.........
still feeding sheep........I was moving them this day...........felt like the pied piper.........they thought they were getting food.........
moved a mob of cows and had to find hidden babies...............
roley poley to burn.............
finished binding a quilt weeks ago............
got second in the local show...........
yes a random shot..........
the creek full watering the big gums..........
Catch you later.......
Chookyblue.........

Congrats on your prize. Hard to be creative when life gets busy, but even if you're not sewing, you're taking photos and doing an amazing variety of things. The fire photos are great.

No such thing as random nothingness although it often feels like it. Through your blog you show a side to farming that so many people have no idea of. Your pictures are amazing. And people need to see it - the good the bad and the ugly. The time you have a good year and plants lots of stuff and it dies - and you promise yourself not to buy another plant ever. Only to buy those same bloody plants straight after the next drop of rain. Not even going to start on the feeding of stock - that is something no non farming person would understand. You have had a rough trot so be kind to yourself. Take care and keep taking the photos they are amazing.
Ps I don't even know what roley poley is - our curse is umbrella grass.
