Weekend with friends...........

Wow what a great weekend.............
the purpose of my trip was to attend a Shiralee Stitches Workshop...........
Sandy @ Shiralee Stitches runs a great workshop.........
i thought I would have got here to post this sooner but a little tied up.........
these are the projects some of the girls worked on.........
the workshop was on English Paper Piecing.........
I chose the work cushion top right..........
2 of my favourite girls..............
the shop.........
this was way to tempting.........
plenty of room to spread out...........
Sandy's latest design "Norfolk"
"Shiralee Elegance".........I have plans to make this one........
"Chintzy Tree of Life".......this one just had to hop into my bag..........
Looks very fancy but the centre is a panel.......I held off very well when she first brought it out............
Kerry's great shed/studio.........
plenty of space for everyone........
perfect location for a sewing workshop..........
thanks heaps Kerry for letting us use your wonderful space..........
talk about organised.........each little tutorial was so well presented by Sandy............she fitted them in through out the day........
Woops Jenny.....you weren't supposed to make little boats by sewing too may sides together...........
Kerry's house is right on the river and it is stunning........
my progress.............
Jenny had stitched hard and had enough by now..........
an amazing dinner by Mr Bird on the Border............
scallops on the BBQ for entree and then pork and beef ribs...........
OMG to die for............
finished off with a fire...........
thanks so much for organising the workshop and inviting me along Jenny.......
Was great to enjoy a few days at your place......
Very relaxing and you are the perfect host.......
Sunday I went for a walk along the river...........the tree over the river was full of white birds.........not sure if they were Corellas but I know they were not cockatoos....
I saw brumbies (wild horses) on the way home.........
I had to wait for this echidna to get off my bridge before I could cross it........
the trip home ended late due to an accident along the way and I had to take a detour............
what a wonderful time with friends...........
Catch you later.....

What fun you have had. At the moment I seem to be collecting templates and papers for EPP. :) I`m not settling at stitching for long at the moment as there are other situations in our life taking over. Happy Stitching.

Gosh, love all this eye candy! Those quilts are beautiful - I really love the Lancaster quilt. It is on my 'one day' list (which is a mile long mind you). Looks like you had an amazing time.

Wonderful place to have a workshop too..Jenny made the boat cos she lives by the river!!! :-) Lots of tempting goodies there, you did well to resist as long as you did!! Was the echidna hogging the bridge? Loots like a wonderful walking place along the river there.
