Janice brought an old quilt her grandma made for her Mum............1950"s I think she said............
Suze finished her secret project...........
the best group of girls...........it's the last Bathurst Blog Meet i'll organise..........I may not be able to attend in the future due to family commitments so thanks girls for the wonderful times..........6 years of fun starting off as lunch meets turned onto weekend retreats.........bit sad to think I met them only due to blogging and some friendships may be lost as some of the girls don't blog any more........for me in my isolated part of the world it's how I have connected...........
Getting home was even more interesting then getting out.........
Spent a night in a motel then a couple of nights at a girlfriends while I stayed in town for work.........these are my waterfront views while I was there the river was pretty full............
finally I headed home a week after I left and the roads were no better probably worse and still wet (more rain).........
this looks better then it is but I was stuck.......tracks  to deep for my vehicle...........
don't step out it was slosh and mess........I had my fancy town work shoes on not work boots or better still gum boots............
Got pulled out of this and got going again only to get stuck again............then I got dragged a long way.............
everything is so wet now we only need to few mls and the roads are impassable for me now.............
you just don't bother going anywhere except essential trips as it is such a mess............and I have 3 roads I could travel out from here and this is the best of the worst..............I'm not over the rain but I am over the roads.........and it will probably be months before the shire does anything about it..........
Boy Wonder caught a Scared Kingfisher on the verendah to release back outside........he sure got hold of his finger...........

Oh and 10.......interesting what things you are suggesting.......hang around the secret will be revealed soon..........
Catch you later............

What wonderful photos of your meet up....so many lovely things being made and already made. Blogging does result in many wonderful friendships, it is a shame when some people do not blog any more, I guess life changes. Hopefully the ladies will keep in touch in other ways...lets reinvent snail mail!!! :-) Boy that road looks shocking! So you are house bound for now? I guess the council can't do anything until the roads dry out...even then there will be huge ruts and still that will be difficult to drive on. That kingfisher wasn't very grateful for being saved!!! Hope the finger was ok!!

Lovely gathering of friends and gorgeous projects! It’s still so hard for me who’s living in the big city to imagine what it means to live in rural Australia!

It was a fantastic weekend wasn't it. I loved seeing what everyone was working on. It's one extreme or the other at your place, isn't it. Here's hoping we get a bit of a break soon.

10? Ten? Ten!?! I almost fell out of my rocking chair reading that word a few times before I could prosess it properly.. (Nope, not kidding..)

Your retreat looked like it was really fun, inspirational, quality quilt-filling and wonderful. I hope you'll be able to attend every single one in the future too. *hugs*

Fun times with friends, pity it has to end! Love the roads (not), its the down side of rain and the upside of mobile phones ...being able to call for a tow instead of having to sit and wait OR walk home! I am guess no amount of grading is going to fix this road ever when you have this much rain. But when it dries out I do hope they grade it sooner rather then later.

One of the best things about retreat is seeing everyone's different projects, lots of gorgeous work in Bathurst. I may not post as often, but I'm keeping my blog going to stay connected to friends who aren't on other social media. My blog opened up this wonderful creative world and I'd hate to lose any of it. X

Its so fun to read these posts, lovely memories you have made and I like it that I can put faces to names. Such a wealth of talent there - beautiful quilts. Some of these events are like seasons, and changes need to be made....

Gee what an eventful week for you. Such a great meet. Lots of progress and productivity too. Loved seeing those quilts and thanks for putting links to their blog profiles. will check them out when I have time. All the best with the rain. Never fails to astound me the degrees in which you live - drought and flood. Incredible. Us city folks just don't realise.
