Does it work......well that depends on you.......

Thankyou for all your lovely comments on "the journey" post........ We all need support and need to keep each other on track.......I still have quiet a few to respond to.........just need a few more hours in the day.......
Quiet a few of you mentioned looking into fitbits.......I love mine....I got it before fitness trackers were all the rage....
A big question I get asked is
Does it work?
Of course they work but you need to work with it.  Mine only comes off to charge briefly....... I do take my new one off to shower.......and there is only one model you can swim in......
The cheapest fitbit that you can get on your wrist will do the job just fine.......
Some of the less flash ones you can get cheap funky bands on ebay...... Just take the tracker out and swap them around into the cheap bands.......
I have the fitbit app on my phone so I can see what's happening whenever I want.......
It won't work if you leave it at home or forget to charge it..... You make it work......Wear it 24/7.....and get moving.........
Most people who get the big chunky ones don't keep wearing them....
I had a fitbit flex they have a new fitbit flex 2 out now..... But I decided to upgrade to the fitbit alta hr which I can still change the bands on but also see what my heart rate is doing...... But if I was starting out I would probably just get the flex 2........
Totally unrelated photo that I took on Saturday..........
To try and keep me and you readers motivated I'm going to try and post monthly a fitness/health related post............And as I am off track a bit at the moment I had asked Sue @ KiwiKid to keep nagging me............I did a short walk yesterday and again today............only both about 5 mins but I did something.......lets keep each other moving and improving our health......
Goodluck......
Catch you later......

I've got a fit bit... somewhere! I faithfully wore it for months when I first got it, and have the app on my phone. Then something went wrong with the app, and since I've been here I keep forgetting to put it back on in the mornings (I take it off at night because it is uncomfortable). DD and I were doing the daily and weekly challenges - they are very motivating. It'd be great for you to do an update post once a month to encourage us all! xx

I for one cannot thank you enough for last week's story and motivation. I had a super weekend with two long walks and lots of other moving about. This is just what I needed! Keep up the good work and thanks again for the motivation to get moving!

I'm waiting for Hubby and P to return from chess school, then it's on with the sneakers and off for a walk (should be running, there's a race on Saturday, but there's also a sore throat involved...). 👍🏻🏃🏻‍♀️

I hope to be out walking soon (as soon as my leg is better) when the weather is more comfortable. I can not walk with temps that are 90 at 7 AM and to go any earlier is not going to happen. Will be nice to have motivation with your updates.

I have been back to wearing (in my pocket) steps counter for a couple weeks and doing more walking each day--I do a short walk in morning and then late afternoon/evening I do a longer one--by goal is 5,000-6,000 a day for now--but like you I was bad over the week end--but today I am back on track--hopefully--
we will do this together--enjoy the moments, di
