Why I walk.......

Prepare yourselves girls.................the 2nd 10min challenge I am adding to my life is EXERCISE...........
Most of us  do NOT get enough exercise daily............I am out of my routine walking program so it is high time to get back on track and I can usually do 20 or more but I am doing 10 and my 7 minute workout challenge. (app on my phone)
I'm on day 2 of my exercises and hooley dooley.............the body knows about it but tomorrow it will be better and by the next day all will be good............it's just starting and I have to stick with it..........
I had done no where near enough steps today so went for a short walk just before dark....................the sun was setting out the front and as I headed off out the back the moon started to rise...............
there was a gentle breeze.............the birds were calling there last calls for the day as they were roosting for the night............
It was magical............I am back to walking............
so no matter what - you do what exercise can you find to do each day this month for 10 mins..........

Who's joining me and Googy Girl????

Susan's keen...........
Catch you later.......
Chookyblue.......
PS don't worry I am still doing my 10 mins sewing on the machine.............
this is extra.........

That sounds like a great idea Chooky! I certainly have that 10 mins for a walk each day, which no doubt would benefit me more than spending those minutes on Pinterest!
What's the App you're using? I see so many around , but they all look too harsh for beginners/really unfit like me, or fad-ish

Walking is super important...I encourage all my patients to walk, as soon as they get their lines out after surgery. I walk every day too!

Thank you for motivating us! I am yet to start 10 minutes daily sewing, but started the daily exercise two weeks ago, been swimming 30 -45 minutes daily. I loose count sometimes, but think that it takes about that long to swim a km. Now if I could get 30 min daily on the sewing machine I would have a mountain of quilts finished! No excuses, as i have hand work prepped, just need to start and be disciplined. Thanks for motivating us.

Good luck with the challenge! We are on holiday so I am walking everyday - 30 mins brisk if I am on my own and more leisurely if I am with Philip. It is great to be outside and being away there are lots of new things to see. xx

Start small and build up with the exercise, since the start of the year I've been walking most days and wearing my Fitbit every day. Its good to see the step count at the end of the day, would be good if they made a Fitbit for our sewing machines :)

I'm walking again as well since my back needs to be strengthened. I have physical therapy three times a week and I've added a bit of beginner yoga for strengthening and flexibility. Good luck to you on your journey.
