I enjoy blogging just because I want to write and share my thoughts. Tagging is a "catch 22" - if you're not tagged you feel left out and if you fail to tag someone then you fear you've hurt some feelings. Maybe 'no tagging' in a profile is a good idea. Something to ponder! Oh, I hope we don't have the perception of "cliques in blogland" - ugh!Darlenehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06889819189264646562noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-222786315881803285.post-42657048495330417642008-03-07T14:44:00.000+11:002008-03-07T14:44:00.000+11:00PSS: The "you" I refer to in my previous comment i...PSS: The "you" I refer to in my previous comment is meant for all who may read the comment, no one person in particular, LOL, sometimes my messages are clear as mud! :O)Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08953124220818985910noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-222786315881803285.post-42533233554981589522008-03-07T14:29:00.000+11:002008-03-07T14:29:00.000+11:00I posted a NO TAG notice on my blog. I found it at Junie Moon
http://junie-moon.blogspot.com/

Some of the blog "circles" can appear to be a bit cliquish. Comments fly back and forth with a regularity that comes with having things in common as well as having been acquainted for a while, not an excuse just a thought. I hope you have never felt snubbed at Stillmeadow Quilting. I am an all inclusive blogger. I want to meet a variety of people from all walks of life. Drop by sometime, we'll chat.
Kim
PS: My apologies to any blogger who received an unwelcome tag from me. From now on, there will be no tagging from this quilter. Whew! Blogland is a great way ...Lots to think about here. Blogland is a great way to feel connected to a wider stitching community. Not many of my friends are stitchers so blogging gives me a chance to share my pasion and be constantly inspired by others. I like it that just like we are all special and unique, so are our blogs. After a busy and stressful day in the real world, I love having this happy place to escape to. As a relatively new blogger, must admit I felt uncomfortable doing the tag thing but didn't want to appear rude by not joining in. If people want to share about their lives that's fine, but I'm quite okay with bloggers (guess I'm one) who mainly just post about stitching stuff. Sorry about the essay! Some just seem to linger on way longer then they should. I've been tagged and never posted. It just gets old! More because I had nothing to say! I love the blogs I have on my "reader" list. I visit them for various reasons. Yea, maybe there's "in crowd". I mean, I wouldn't know! I just want to have fun! You've got to blog because you love it and not because you're looking to be "popular with lots of comments" or want to "fit in". I have met some wonderful people, you for one Donna. I love to see what other bloggers create, to see other parts of the world, to read about totally different lifes. I don’t like to travel but I like to broaden my horizon. I’ve been overwhelmed by all the kindness and goodness in blogland. I also hope to draw some attention and create understanding concerning important issues. Blogs are a wonderful platform for that as well.
And blogs are a great motivater, like Kris says. It helps me to get projects done and start far too many new ones... This attitude is just so "High School". (And who wants to go there, right?)There are sections of our society who endlessly promote popularity so I guess you're bound to find some who blog. I blog for me. I do feel part of a community when I blog, more so than just reading other people's blogs, but the main reason I blog is to inspire me to finish (and sometimes even start!) my sewing projects. It's a great motivator. I can't wait to take a photo of the finished product and post it on my blog! OK. Maybe it doesn't always work. My daughter said to me today when she phoned that she hadn't noticed any finished items on my blog lately and was I alright!!! Blogs are also a relatively stress free and simple way of keeping up with friends and family. Hey, I do this for fun. And if it wasn't fun I guess I wouldn't do it!Krishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02611233587655427186noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-222786315881803285.post-74246831834262665132008-03-05T15:49:00.000+11:002008-03-05T15:49:00.000+11:00This is a great post chookyblue and helps me firm ...This is a great post chookyblue and helps me firm up some ideas I have been having lately.
I was begginming to think I was the only one not in love with tagging.Jodiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02924653077212971448noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-222786315881803285.post-85157688978327105042008-03-05T13:11:00.000+11:002008-03-05T13:11:00.000+11:00I hear what you're saying. I'm not a lover of chain letters, and memes and recipe swaps and stuff like that all fit into the chain letter category in my opinion.
I can see how some people can feel like they're not 'popular' as you say. The beauty of blogging in my mind is that you soon find some people who you have a connection to, or a common interest, and then you just join in. Nobody says that you can't play in their sand box!
I joined in on the Civil War Diary quilt ring that is happening now as I had already started the quilt, and needed some motivation. However I can see that already I'm left behind, and no doubt will always be as I'm not as motivated as some other quilters. But it's nice that you can just join in and go for it.Jennihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15434857739724897230noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-222786315881803285.post-91150121838551678752008-03-05T13:04:00.000+11:002008-03-05T13:04:00.000+11:00I do not have a blog but so enjoy reading them.
