Another month has almost disappeared..........
that means 1/2 the year is gone..........
Last post I told you we were pulling down a fence........I pulled the barb off the top and left it on the ground. Last weekend I went back and had a go at making some barb wire balls.............
they are still a work in progress and they are coming along ok.............
This one was going ok..........at the other end of this length of barb is another ball being rolled this way..............it's not too slow a job..........fiddly and a little challenging to get started.........you need a helper.............a decoration for the garden...........

There were some quilts hanging locally in Outback Arts Gallery.............I only have a few pics to share............But I had one hanging below on the right.............

I got over to The Crafters Cottage last week............got a few more bits for Chapel Street........just for a bit more variety...........some fancy zips and a roll of fabric..........I think it is 3in wide..........

The sunsets and sunrises have been rocking out a great display..............
always good to see a full dam..........
That big log on the ground was the target for wood chopping............
Big old box tree that has been on the ground for years..............
Diesel being king of the log..........the first time he walked on the log he was shaking like a leaf.........but then he got the hang of it..............
Some nice good wood to keep us warm this week.................
Playing with the cows in the cattle yards and this calf was camped on the ground and she was not worried by me at all.............
Those eye lashes...................
One heifer was very close to calving so we left her in the yards for the night.........I went back just after dark and she had just calved and the calf was on the wrong side of the fence so I had to sort that out..........it was still all wet and gooey from being born............
they have mothered up well.............
I love baby calves..........they are my favourite..............
Catch you later...........
Chookyblue.........

Well done mumma
the calf is lovely - but I'm glad you didn't show us the jut born one...too gooey for me!
Well done on getting your quilt hung - and thanks for the eye candy...I like the Wensleydale one . . .one day....after Chapel street?? LOL
The skies are gorgeous...I'd love a wood fire
I'm not sure how I feel about rusty barbed wire art, better than just abandoning it though. Lovely to see quilts hanging, especially yours. Those skies are beautiful, and the reflections on the damn are lovely. Oooh! Pretty fabrics.
The quilts hanging look great, I'm not sure about the barbed wire art, I suppose I lost too much skin on fences when I was sneaking through paddocks to ge to the beach as a kid. I hope noone falls in your garden bed and gets tangled in the ball haha. I love baby cows, they are so cute
That's a good display of quilts! No doubt Diesel will soon get the idea about climbing on top of everything. We have cows and calves on the hill behind us, speckle park breed....they belong to someone who lives on the other side of the hill.
Your calves are lovely. Silly mumma to drop a calf so close to the fence that mumma can't even get through. Thanks for the lovely catchup too.
Another lovely post and Diesel is ever so cute. Good to see another post. Take care, stay warm & hugs.
Great picture of the new calf. Lovely quilts on display and gorgeous fabric haul. xx
I’m always impressed with the stunning quilts made by ladies n your area. I particularly like the bright Wensleydale. That is such a cute little calf with its white curl on top of its head. Glad to hear that the new baby and mum went well together. You aren’t getting a soft spot for Diesel are you?
I love seeing your landscape photos!
Beautiful photos and lovely quilts. Warm greetings from Montreal 😊 ❤️ Canada🇨🇦
