The August Escape Saturday.........

 I always get to the room bright and early..............I love the time getting ready before anyone arrives.......music up to get me moving.......number one job - turn the urn on.........then I straighten things up........sweep the floor.......open the blinds.......getting everything ready for breaky............everyone has all there gear in now.........it certainly fills the space.............

to think we have almost twice the number of people in the room for Scrub Stitchin' retreat in April..........

Saturday morning we had a pop up shop..........Picton Patchwork offered to come out so how could I say no............LOL...........I may have done some damage...........but it's very pretty damage........lol.........more projects planned.......just need time to sew..........

The August Escape Thursday/Friday.........

 Thursday started early but it felt like it took forever to get everything packed up and in the car.......Lucky I have a big car............

There was a big fog and it was still pretty thick when I left but home..........

I did make it out the back way to Baradine thank goodness........

Although for several paddocks I was only on the road to get over the ramp......Driving down the side on the grass............precarious as it was...........

But further up the road the fog started to clear and the day looked amazing..............

So green everywhere.......

Thursday involved getting to Baradine.........quick unload........thanks for your help Mick and Janice then throw Janice into my car and get to Coona. I had an appointment and we needed to do some shopping. Back to Baradine by late lunch and setting up the room. 

Thanks to my brother, Janice, Brenda and Di for assisting with the setup...............

Stuffed up and forgot and still cannot locate the bags I brought for the retreat so Janice found these at the shop...........amazing we could find enough of the same sort..............

1/2 the girls arrived Thursday evening so we went to the Bowling Club for dinner.......Lucky us they cook Thai on Thursday evening and it was delicious............

Prepping............

Just prepping for The August Escape Retreat............

Trying to remember all the things I want to do and take with me.......

writing more lists.......

1/2 the girls will be there Thursday evening and the rest Friday morning..........

Driving on Monday I saw some wattle in full bloom...........how cute are those little balls that are about to burst.........Such a cool flower although it does not like me much.........

arrrrh don't you love spring............

Still loving the daisies and the yellow ones are about to put on their show............its been rainy so I didn't go check but couldn't see the blooms all open when I went past............not enough sun light they close up also...........

we got another 20-25mm of rain which is wonderful..........nice and gentle........made the road terrible but the paddocks are loving it..........spring sure is in the air.........

Our main street gardens in town have been planted with these pink paper daisies..........this was late last week so they should eb flowering well now..........

Life...........

Life's been busy.....sometimes I try to fit to much in - sometimes it's just what I have to do......I was hoping to zoom this evening but with the rainy weather the net is not working so well.....5mm of misty/sprinkling rain.......

I've a few posts to add in........couple from last year.............so when they pop up and you can't find them I have back dated them to fit into order............

the paddocks are awash with paper daisies............they were ok then we got a fall of rain about 10 days ago and it freshened everything up and they seem to have exploded into more flowers........

They just make me so happy I love them............

This isn't a bunch but a little thick patch..........

All the white/lighter patches beyond the dam are daisies......its a sea of colour......they have been stunning...............

Few fires - burning fallen timber.................

The cattle came to see what's happening.........they are very inquisitive...............
