Little Stitches swap.............

The Little Stitches (sorry private blog) had another swap and this time it was an ornament swap.........I decided to make it direct so Fairy Girl sent to Little Miss Thimble...........

LMT made 2....look at the gorgeous ornaments she made for Fairy Girl.........love them..........and she also made a necklace too.........Fairy Girl wore it Christmas day..............and the ornaments have been hanging on the tree.........

This is the ornament Fairy Girl designed and made for Little Miss Thimble.....

.......she made it during the floods......early December........had a ball stitching away.......she stitched bells and beads onto the felt...........(sorry not the best pic)

Also in the swap Jessie Girls brother Mr Z  was a little keen to make something too so I asked Bookworm and he said yes so the boys had a direct swap too..............

Fairy Girl got a quilt kit to play with for Christmas...........she has been pestering to make something else and this one looked good and she loves these fabrics..........

PS i had this post prepared but need to edit to say I had a lovely lunch with Jannimary yesterday.......she is lovely...........thanks for lunch......it was yummy......
can't wait to catch up again at Girls Day In the Country in March at Nundle.........
oh and for the girls going.......we worked out our little swap for this year.......more on that when I return.....it was a very quick decision but it is perfect......(since no one else has suggested anything yet)
We also had a quick visit to Anni's The Home Patch but Anni was out so hopefully I will catch her today.........Thanks for making the trip into town Janice........see you again soon........

The generosity of fellow bloggers never ceases to amaze me........

In an online group we had a swap.....I was the secret Santa to Bec...(i'll show you what I sent Bec in another post)......anyway sneakily Bec had sent me this thankyou parcel for organising a few swaps she is involved with..............it is a mini quilt pattern kit......... thanks heaps Bec most appreciated........

Clare had a giveaway  and I was lucky to win...........I showed you the pattern last week and now here is the book I won........thanks Clare.........now what to make............

Carole a friend in the USA sent some wooden gifts her dh made.........

mine is the thread holder and he turned spinning tops for Bookworm and Fairy Girl.........they spin so well...........perfectly balanced.........

Illene Retdairyqueen made a decoration like this for her SSCS partner and I asked her about the pattern............she said she had got the templates from a friend and there wasn't a pattern as such so offered to make one for me if I was patient.......this was back in November........yes I am patient and I had forgotten about it until the parcel arrived last week.......it is just gorgeous........soft tinkly bells...........

give your love and thoughts to Illene as her precious daughter Lorraine passed away yesterday after a long battle.........

and another generous blogger is Fiona.............when I started to get re-inspired for cross stitch she posted this magazine she had purchased on her blog...........I asked where she got it from and she she said no worries I'll get one for you..............thanks heaps Fiona........

Lynn is another long time SSCS swapper and she sent me a little thanks present.........

hand towel and pot holder...........cute little ginger bread men fabric..........

also this lovely stitchery.......perfect..........I just need to get to kids to find the perfect stick so I can hang it up on the wall...........

and Mum brought me a new subscription to Homespun.....mine had run out.....I didn't see her for Christmas so Fairy Girl designed a card and the subscriptions was from both of them..........Fairy Girl had to do the detective work to find the subscription details etc............she made this card for my present............

designed a magazine cover etc.............so cute...........

Advent swap received.......

Margaret from Cosmos and Chrysanthemums was my direct swap partner in the advent swap hosted by Fee.

We had a present to open everyday then a main present for Christmas day..............

the bag and dresdan table centre (which sat on the table for Christmas breaky) were the main presents...........I also received chocolates, several smaller bags with various different uses, an apron, scarf, some tea towels...........garden gloves, anyway lots of beautiful goodies so thanks heaps.........Margaret was a great partner as I had some flooding issues at the start and a delay in part of her parcel......she was very patient......

I'll show you in another post what I sent to Margaret............

Secret Santa Christmas Swap............

I'll be back in a few days with the SSCS main presents...........I have been in several swaps and have some presents I have to show you all so once that is done I will be back to the main gifts of the SSCS...........

......I am pretty sure this is the 4th year for Nancy in the swap.....

.....Nancy is from the USA and she sent me this perfect Chooky present......

it even had chooks on the border fabric.........

lots of different chooks.........lots of different applique methods.......

the reddy border suits well on my lounge where I sit and sew etc..........

Pretty sure I won't be using it for awhile as this weekend hot SUMMER is finally coming....

SSCS Ornaments 49-72...........

Oh wow did it rain last night............we had another storm come thru late last night with another 42mls in it........so 62mls all up............it just poured down heaps...........
