Sunday farewells @ Scrub Stitchin'

You're probably sick of Scrub Stitchin' but I had the best fun.............and all these memories will end up in my blog book......I have so many pics I might even make one of those photo books...........sadly we are finally at the end.........
Sunday morning some of the girls had to leave early...........
so we just condensed down a bit..........
A little pincushion I made as part of my swap present............
This is tiny and Fairy Girl made it for me..........those triangles are tiny..........
We also did block lotto..........make two 12.5in blocks...........
a creamy classic and the other white and bright.........
We all shared our blocks and separated them into each colourway.......
the winner of block lotto was to choose which one they wanted to keep and the other one would get made up for charity........Miss Jules won and she donated hers to charity too..........more about them later once they are finished............
Lots of the girl started working on the Scrub Stitchin' Bucket Tote over the weekend...........but three of the girls finished theirs.........since the Commonwealth games were on we did a podium presentation..............
Gold to Kate, Silver to Jewells and Bronze to Deb..........I think the look on Kates face may have been when she found out there was no gold medal............LOL..........
Lots of farewells.........not so sad as we have booked in for 2019 already.....dates are set..............most of the girls have booked in again.........we have a few spots spare but I am sure we will fill them before next year.......
Catch you later..............Chookyblue...........

Scrub Stitchin' project................

This post is so over due........but now I can finally reveal..............these plans and projects were all planned mostly in May last year...........hence the date on the bags.........

These star mugs were perfect.............Baradine is in the Warrumbungle Shire .....the Warrumbungles National Park which is very close by......it is the only dark sky park in Australia.............Siding Springs Observatory on the edge of the Warrumbungles is very important to astronomers..............
so stars around here are even brighter due to the lower light pollution levels..........
The mugs looked so good in the dishwasher when we gave them a wash...........

Onto the project..............
ta da............
Scrub Stitchin' Bucket Tote designed by Sonia and me.............

Baradine is in the Pilliga Scrub............its got a lot of White Cypress pine hence the pine trees..............the star is the sky.......and there are heaps of birds......

Sonia and I had so much fun planning the projects and weekend..........then the photo shoot with our bags...........

love it.............

Maybe a champagne or two was consumed in the planning.............

NOW for the winner of the giveaway.................
the general consensus was a smaller project but the chatting and friendship shared while at the retreat is as important as the sewing..............
