Up at sparrows fart........

My Nan used to say this........... I still use it..............I was up at sparrows fart this morning............well actually I am every morning but I was going to lay in slightly this morning and I peeped out side and saw potential for a beautiful sunrise...........so thinking of my blog friends I jumped out of bed and grabbed the camera and tripod and headed out to the step.............only to scoot back in pretty quick to get the MOZZIE spray..........
Finally off to work today.... So I better get moving.........bucket loads of rain is forecast over all the flood areas so I may be stuck at home again..........lets just hope that they are WRONG but it's not looking good..........there is a massive area of eastern Australia who could be affected by this rain.........I just wished the clouds dumped it all in Western Australia before they made it to us...........
ENJOY............

Catch you later..............

Haven't heard that for ages but yes I was up when the sparrows were farting this morning too..! No fabulous sunrise shots for me though, the rain is just starting here, winds blowing really hard and I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that it's not as bad as they say it's going to be..
Take care,

Our Grandmas will never die with there wonderful language, "Sparrow fart" and "get down on your haunches and get that out of the cupboard for me".
Beautiful photos I can see them on some cards I am really enjoying opening my advent presents.

Lovely pics Chooky, it rained stop start all night and I have got about 4 inches of water right out my back door. I can hear the crickets so just maybe I'll get my washing dry today.

Wow, such beautiful painted skies - just stunning! 'Sparrows' is the best time of the day!

Yes, this 'wet' that the east coast is experiencing is devastating. I emptied 4.5 mls out of the gauge Tuesday morning, another 9.5 mls this morning and we've had another big rain since and I think there's about 4 mls in there now at 8.45am! And those amounts are nothing to what you've had, I know. But it's wierd for this time of year. All it will do is add to the fire fuel load and be a huge bushfire danger.

We also had strong winds last night and my tomato seedlings are all blown over so I've got to stake them up somehow.

Have a good day & keep dry,

Joolz

Well that's the first time I've heard that saying..
We had a bit of rain yesterday, so that's a little you won't get!
Gosh, you sure coped it all...so much water.
Beautiful photos...love a lovely sunrise, here we get the beautiful sunsets.
Hope it's not as bad as they say it will be.
Take care.

Spectacular photos. You know the old saying 'Red in the morning shepherd's warning', I hope it doesn't happen to you and there is not too much rain around. Take care.

Thank you for sharing that beautiful sunrise. I seldom see one (except on those occasions when I'm actually up ALL night). And I had never heard the term "sparrows fart", but I like ti!

Gosh - you sound like Queenslanders, lol! Great pics, Donna - I keep watching your part of the country and yes, it would be nice to get more rain, for our people on the land that is - most of us have bores for our gardens!
Hugs - Lurline♥

Beautiful pics by the way and thank you for getting up so bright and early for all of us.

There were storms here last night, with lightening, thunder and lots of rain. Power was cut for 12 hours.

I know sparrows fart isn't it the best expression and the best time of the day. Love the 6th photo.

I have never heard that expression before. That's possibly because I am never up that early?
