On Sat night Jenny and Lea @ Fairy Floss Stitches had their Nature's Journey SAL centres out...........brights and softly muted..........so different........both beautiful.........

I sewed with my Nan's old Waltons Celestial machine.........she does a beautiful 1/4 inch..........just give a push to start if the needle is completely up............lol........

Barb was still smiling when we told her she finished her first quilt so quickly she had to hand quilt it.................and hand quilt she did............she did so well with her first ever quilt.............

Great day... With a view of the snow out the window.... Slowly melting away......

OMG boggy roads and snow... Woohoo....

Omg so excited.... Once I went "around the world" to pick up my partners in all things quilty navigating boggy roads.......one friend trooped down her road on a 4 wheeler motorbike to meet me  -we were on our way....... And on arriving at Nundle we got to see snow..... Omg how gorgeous..... This is my 12th retreat year at Cottage on the Hill and there has never ever been snow.........

Playing.....

Playing with quilt designs............ 2 sleeps til retreat weekend...... So many ideas running around in my head............I don't usually think much about it before I go and something always works out............

But Kerry @ Cottage on the Hill has some fabric for me to play with too...........

really I was just enjoying playing with coloured pencils.........lol...

Raining again so could be interesting getting to "my partner in crime" in all things quilty.......her machine is still in the Chookshed so need to remember to pack it tomorrow when I pack mine....... 

OMG.... So excited.... 

going to be really freezing again tomorrow and Friday..............

Good mail.....

I won a give away on Jacquie's blog @ My Journey.... Omg the royal mail was on fast track as this parcel was posted in the UK on 6/7/15 and I have it 13/7/15.....

omg that is so fast.....

I received this lovely cross stitch pattern and some threads from Jacquie @ My Journey........

So I went digging in the archives to see if I could find some Aida or linen..... Found both but since it is so long since I have cross stitched I went with the Aida......my eye sight is crap these days.......yes I do have glasses for all stitching.........

Hoping it stitches up fast.... Jacquie gets thru hers so fast...... Always so inspired by what she achieves...... Especially since she has had the worst year with her terrible knee and other health issues..... No matter what she tries to stay positive...... Blogland is her connection to the world........

Even more so when she can't get out and about....... 

Thanks so much.... It's just perfect for our chilly weather.... Didn't even bother trying the Chookshed today.....windier today, miserable misty showers etc. 

Stitching, ug boots and a hot Milo (chocolate)....

What's happening out there??????

Come on girls it's freezing cold so I have only been blog reading or sewing..........nothing esle achieved...........but no one is posting anything at the moment i'm up to date so come on girls get off the dark side and do a blog post............If you live in Australia and your on the eastern 1/2 really you would NOT want to be outdoors today..........

Working on a new bag for my hand piecing using my first hand pieced block........ 

knowing me it won't be finished today..........

Milly and Billy cannot find a warm spot at all today........I threw a scrap piece of fabric out onto the deck I felt sorry for them.............the wind sure is coming off snow today............

Now I am as flash as Kate @ Show and Tell.............Fairy Girl made me a surprise.....Mr Chooky helped with the tools........I have a new design wall...............94 inchs square...........previously I had a big sheet hanging up which worked but you had to pin everything.............so I stuck my Natures Journey blocks up to try and get inspired............the batting is the same colour as the walls so you don't even notice it.......

It's bleak outside.........

the sun has tried to shine once or twice for a couple of minutes at a time but just low cloud and freezing.............

Can you believe I have done 1600 posts.......

Milly and Billy.....

Milly (on the step) is going so well.............Billy (on the deck) was found in the paddock on Sunday after I got bogged.......Milly and Billy are great company for each other...........

 

they are still being spoilt by sleeping in a box in front of the fire...........we have a mesh lid to put on top and pop a towel over that..........they go in about 7-8pm and go to sleep straight away even with us wandering around the kitchen..........

More rain today................going to be a freezing weekend on the eastern side of Australia for the next week pretty much.........temps dropping right down on Sunday........
