hhhhhmmmm........

Well not sure what is going on here..........I had have so many plans of things to do and get done and NOTHING.........NOTHING has happened..........well maybe not completely nothing as I managed to start 3 more projects and I have fiddled with them but still NOTHING.........nothing finished for OPAM.......nothing really has got me motivated...........well for longer then 5 minutes anyway.......I have wonderful things [shopping and presents] to show you and I haven't even been motivated to take pics to show you those........

School holidays are nearly over which is quite sad and we have had a nice time together at home - lots of time lazing about and in the pool......and I have done lots of swimming exercises while in the pool so I suppose that is good[hope you reading this Kerry]......

.....anyway we'll see when I get back into the groove to finish something........Nothing that a good nights sleep wouldn't fix either [sick little boy hasn't helped] and some cooler weather would be good........but we still have lots of summer left yet...........

boggle.........

Just to fill in some holiday time with my "bookworm" we played some

"Boggle"[much better then marbles - lost that game]...........we decided to annoy you with a game...............see how many words you can come up with...........we got 60+.

For eg we had "snag" as one of our words.....[snag=sausage]......something

we will have tomorrow on the BBQ with lamb chops for Australia Day...........hope you all have a good one......it will be a quite and hot day here at the farm............

PS why do the weather people think we are only HOT when the cities are hot.............I am sure they forget and don't care about the rest of us in the state.............what do you think.........

dinner and happenings........

Well the lack of sewing continues..............here is dinner I cooked tonight...............hamburgers and wedges..............yummo...........the kids loved them too............fiddly but fun to make............

I've had a few days in the "big smoke" [city]...........it was great catching up with friends and family...........and the food.......I love seeing all the fancy food art works...........oh and eating them too..........this is the only one I snapped a pic of but I shared it with my girlfriend...........Pancakes on the Rocks.......you would be horrified if you saw everything I ate but oh it was good...........oh and my girlfriend took me to a delicious chocolate shop..........we will have to go there everytime i visit her I think............

the Chinese gardens are beautiful.........you don't feel like your in the middle of a city...........they dressed the girls up in Chinese costumes - they thought it was wonderful.........more photos here

it was absolutley freezing cold in the blue mountains yet again................and yet again I still didn't have enough warm clothes...........but it was clear skies and totally gorgeous views...........I have shared some more photos here..........

While away i got to catch up with some stitching friends and I also went to 7 patchwork shops...............OMG......choice overload.............and of course I can't go in and walk out empty handed..........I have got a couple of new books also so will share them once I have some pics.............

Peg and Kris I am not sure what I can get finished for the month but oh boy I have a million new projects I want to start...........to many not sure what to start with..............lol...........but I did get some fabric to work on my nine patch swap blocks so that might be what i start on...........putting that together........

SSCS 100%..............

OMG did you hear the cheers and excitement here.......this is the post I have been waiting for..........I just didn't get a chance to tell you all yesterday but late Monday night when I arrived home I had an email from Jenny to say she had received her SSCS parcel ....the best part is that was the last one to arrive............that means we had 100% success this year for the Secret Santa Christmas Swap. I am so HAPPY..........

thanks so much to all the girls who have particitpated in the SSCS for 2009 it is now officially OVER............you have done a wonderful job with all the gifts...........and the ornaments.........here is the last photos that I have of gifts..........I don't have a couple of photos of gifts but I tried so they will just miss out [sorry] as this is the last post...........

don't forget to go back thru all the photos of the SSCS gifts (just look back a few posts to find them) there are about 11 posts - oh and also the list of SSCS participants will go next week so it is your final chance to visit some "new to you" blogs............

PS i've done some laps and water walking in the pool today too Kerry [after a little bit of sheep work, the mowing and washing].............if anyone needs a kick along in getting fit go and visit Kerry's blog........we can support each other making sure we fit in some exercise.......you have to make it a priority!!!!!

If your doing NOTHING then 5 mins walk a couple times a week is much better so start..........gradually increase.......come on join us.........

Breaking news..........

Finally after 6 months my stupid internet is now letting me see typepad blogs again..............for the last 6 months I have only been able to see what has been written thru bloglines - no pictures..........and everytime I tried to open a typepad site I got an error and was not able to access anything..................this morning I am not sure what has happened but I can open the sites and see the pics........I can even comment........OMG how exciting................look out Daisy Chain, Cheryl, Leanne and Rosie and Melly, Sharon - Red Geranium Cottage, Cinderberry Stitches, Hatched and Patched, Thimbleanna there are so many I can now go and visit...........

better go to work and play tonight............

To my friends who have text or emailed I am fine......the water has gone right down at my place...........nothing to worry about except for the mozzies and fencing repairs at the moment.........I have taken quite a few more photos so hopefully soon i will share with you.............

flooded again..........

Well the new year came with a down pour like Christmas...............in the last 8 days we have had over 10 inchs which is a little under 1/2 our yearly average...........2009 total rain fall was just over 20inchs...........

I am so exhausted today...........we have slopped around in the mud and flood water (safely Miriam I promise) all day.....I have found muscle in my legs I forgot I had......the flood water came into our house yard (much higher then last weeks flood) and was threatening to go thru the shed like the 2007 flood.........lucky it hasn't......this is officially the 3rd biggest flood at our house since Grandma moved here many, many years ago.............Bookworm has slide down silty dam banks, made a raft, helped us get the pets calves out of flood water, rescued a few chooks who still have flood water running thru their chook house, helped us lift everything essential in the shed in case it flooded and played with his dogs with his surf board in the flood water (not is the fast running areas).......here are some snaps from yesterday and today.......I was loving my new gumboots yesterday but today they got a rest today as the flood water is too deep......we already know we have some fencing to do............not sure about stock yet but hoping they are all safe.......hopefully we have missed the thunder storms forecast tonight.......there will be a few nervous people in town tonight as the flood water hits..........enjoy the pics I am going to fall into bed............
