playing again............

Being a "type 2" crafter means I have a habit of starting a new project.............
Yep I am at it again...............
Using a jelly roll and one of those Jelly Rolls books I got to this stage and have no border fabrics...............
Bugger.........will have to track some down.......only got a Jelly roll from Sarah when I brought this "Beach House" Blackbird Designs.........The blue is actually from "Garden Party" and for another project......but just seeing for the effect......also ....whether I frame it with a thin brown border............I have some jelly roll strips left yet.............Decisions decisions decisions..........
It's really dry here now and i had to do "brown" for the Snappy Friends post.........was struggling then realised everything around me is brown.....
....storms floating around but not leaving any rain........

And the dreaded umbrella grass has invaded me again.............not lots yet
but I am sure more is coming...........
Cooler day here today...........this is the 2nd day we have had this year under 30deg Cel.........
no wonder it is dry..........
Catch you later..............

I really like that design Chooky, clever use of colour there. As for browning off - woah, rather you than me sweet, it looks very dry and hopefully you will get rain before too long.
keep cool, hugs

lovely quilt there Donna, I think a small brown border sets it off nicely then the wider blue,... just my humble opinion.

Great photo shots!

Thank you for helping me realize what I am...a Type 2. Never heard of that, but I think a lot of us qualify. Love your quilt. Aren't those Jelly Rolls fun to work with.

Hey I think it's cool to be a type 2 crafter, I like it!!! Lovely quilt...hope it rains for you soon. I know how you feel with storms rolling around and nothing much happening...Have a great day!!! Dzintra

the quilt is going to be awesome! the good thing is, that the blackbird designs fabric collections often are nearly perfect matches among each other.
I'd probably go just with the blue border (although the idea of a containment middle border would also be breat...maybe even a cream one to lighten the quilt??). looking forward to the finished top!
i also cross my fingers for rain!

Great looking quilt Chooky and photos. That umbrella grass is freaky.

From one type 2 to another - I love the quilt top - and at least you've got it to the border stage already! Looks like a tricky layout though - lots of points to line up - too tricky for this type 2 crafter, I think!

Crikey, it's either floods or a heatwave! Crazy weather, huh!

Oh I have that book. Yet to make something from it yet. I like your quilt...colours blend well together.

I like the narrow brown border. I love jelly rolls, rolled up they are irresistible. So I keep buying them but as yet have not used them for anything.
Thanks for all the information you write about blogging. Being a new blogger I have found it quite helpful

Love the pattern.

I have one of those implements in my yard too!

We're past-dry here too. It's gotta rain sometime.

Honestly, if I could melt some of this snow and send it on as liquid, I would.
Go with the blue!

I like the quilt and the blue border; the brown not so much. But then I don't care much for brown in quilts. (Now watch, the next thing you know I'll probably be making a quilt all in shades of brown.)

Blue and browns are always great in my book. We are so cold her, I'd love just a little of your sunshine.

Your quilt looks amazing and you started and almost finished - Yay.
Like those colours together.

Hope you get some rain soon. We had one of those storms yesterday that went right by!
