LOL.. mine went missing too but came home with Avengance... LOL...and now I hope it stays for a while cos I am way behind on loads of projects ...LOL.. it will come home soon..I'm sure it will .. Hugs Dawn x x x
Oh dear, I hope you find it soon Chooky! When mine goes missing I can usually find it lurking with a lovely project on a blog somewhere. Mind you, I can spend hours surfing around looking for it.... :)
If you are serious about getting a sewing mojo back - make a list and work out which one is going to be done first and prioritise the rest. OR - maybe you just need a break and a change of direction?? Good Luck with whatever way you go - we would all miss you terribly if you stay away too long.
I wonder if there is a "Motivation Retreat" happening somewhere at the moment? Hopefully they will all return home soon. After the New Year enthusiasm there seems to be a bit of a slump.
This is what motivates me: guilt - in the form of piles of fabric that should be used up, making charity quilts, and the fact that the rest of my house has teenagers in it and my sewing room doesn't.
It might be lurking somewhere near that countdown ticker thing in the corner of your blog that taunts me at the moment ... I just wish Nundle was a lot closer to NZ! I'm pretty sure that in about 39 days, 3 hours and 5 minutes you will mind your motivation LOL
hmm I could do with extra hours in my day so if you find them while you are looking for your motivation, you know where to send them! p.s. frind a good book to read, the minute I stick my head in a good book, all the motivation in the world returns to disrupt my reading!
Totally know how you feel. Although I am beginning to believe that we all need to jump off the hamster wheel and just sit still and be. It is good for the soul.
I thought this was your way of cracking your whip for the few of us that have still not posted a picture of our completed TTS! But after reading the comments I see it is for yourself! Well, I can tell you I found my motivation at Quilter's Mis BeeHaven! I invited 7 friends to join me and we escaped this past weekend for 3 days up north. It was absolutely beautiful! It snowed tons but not enough to snow us in for an extra day. We had such a fantastic time sewing, eating and visiting with eachother. Friendships were definatly treasured and motivation found! So hop on a plane and come to Canada! Ps. I will be posting a picture of my long awaited TTS soon, very soon!
I think mine is hiding under the ironing pile - but can't escape because the pile keeps growing. Hopefully I will find it in time. ( I don't necessarily suggest that that's where yours might be hiding.)At least we have something to look forward to next month.
If you find it send some this way. It's been ages since I blogged, or even really read blogs!! I'm missing everyone but seem to be stuck doing 101 other things :( Hope all is well L x
If you lived here I'd blame it on mid-February's weather...cold, bleak, boring, enough of winter already. But you don't. You live where the flowers are blooming and the sun is shining and it's warm. So who would want to quilt in those conditions? Go out and pick some flowers!
ohh you must have left it with me....i can't get enough of the machine at the moment...am so motivated...hence my lack of blogging...but i have lot's to showberina
LOL....Oh gee, I hope it turns up in time for Nundle!....or maybe that's where you'll find it?.....nothing affecting my motivation except time (need more of it!). Grab Fairy Girl and toss all those fabrics from your stash on the floor and have a play....
Blowing a crafty and strong wind of motivation + inspiration all the way from Norway down under to you:-) All the best, thanks for being there for me for a long time!
Not sure how to stimulate motivation, with me it ebbs and flows and when it's there I try to go with it as much as I can; and when it's not there I try not to worry too much about it. I am sure with the company, Sue Daley and stitching at Nundle that you will feel refreshed and invigorated. xxx
I've lost sleep myself. Have you found any? So sorry to read that your mojo is missing. Somehow I can relate. If it wasn't for hand embroidery, I'd have nothing done. It is certainly more productive than play solitaire on the computer. Finished all of the Santa blocks, started Snow much fun, which I think you would like. Hum... time for a cheer up package is it? ;o) Sending you a motivation hug!

When you find it and after you have finished with it, you're more than welcome to send it north.
May I add the request for my motivation being found to that poster?!!!
Oh I do hope that it finds you soon but do be warned as I have heard that it comes back with a big burst so have that sewing room stocked! :o)

Hope they can help.

Everyone deserves a vacation... even motivation. Enjoy the break and do the other things you love to do...

if you find yours and mine is there too, please send it home. I think the heat sent it packing!
What??! Are we all on the same ship sailing somewhere but nowhere?
It seems that chocolate therapy gives good results... and better, chocolate parties with friends !!

I haven't got it! My craft room is in disarray at the moment, it could be hiding in a box somewhere!
Mine has come to visit wonder how long it will stay.
You silly duffer....its under that pile of fabric....just lift it up, feel it, admire it, and it will just pop out and say...peek-a-boo....xxxxx
Ha Ha .....here's some motivation for you....now you need to reply to a load of comments!
I do hope that naughty motivation that has gone walkabout comes knocking on your door very soon!
Please send some if you find it! ;)

Hummmm... motivation is a very fickle friend don't ya know. It's here one minute gone the next. The trick is to relax and let it sneak up on you!
