Look closely............
Mumma chook hatched out one chicken so we went to some friends and got 8 more and stuck them under in the dark.........she mostly thinks it is a good idea......we've got thru 2 nights.....i'll try and get some better photos of the chickens..........she had one black one but now she has a collection............2 each of silkies, barnevelders, white rhode island reds and gold lace wyandottes

Chicks are so cute, we have four tearing around the chook yard at the moment. I agree with Fiona, Mummy is gorgeous.

Mama Chook is one very classy chicken. Sounds like you've given her a real multi racial brood to take care of can't wait to see what they all look like when they grow a bit.

Love the machine applique, your work is so neat and what a great pattern. Hope you get some rain soon...after my Dad and brother come through NSW today though, so they dont get bogged!
