hhhmmmm.....

that's about how i feel.......the glass is still looking very empty........this is the pile of bugs, moths and dust I swept up on part of the front verendah...........the bugs are driving me nuts.........the moths only usually get bad when it is going to rain............they are so confused...........the dust is terrible............
world war broke out on the weekend though when I saw a mouse in the house and I reset all my traps and caught 3 so far..........nothing today so lets hope that is it........if I had more mice "that could be the straw that breaks the camels back"...
the nights have got cooler and the days are up and down a bit......last week was still pretty warm..........around 29-30degC during the days but a bit cooler this week around 25max
the paddocks are getting barer............some worse then others............very quickly heading back to feeding sheep and cattle........everyone is talking "drought" and a long dry winter.....at the end of the month I will be have to sell some cows.......
shearing was delayed so only just finished today....
....lucky I was pretty much not needed at all......one good thing......
my mind is thinking about way to many things and I am struggling to achieve anything.............I have some posts I could do but just can't get it together so i'll just say bye for now and I will return when we get a good fall of rain unless something wonderful happens here............
thanks to everyone for your comments on my last post.............I haven't replied sorry - just not in the groove..........so don't worry about commenting here on this post..........
See you when it rains.........that could be awhile.........
Catch you later..............

No need to reply, I'm way behind in mine, but I wanted to add my sympathy to your comments. Knowing how I am, I know how I'd feel and my heart goes out to you. Sometimes it's hard to agree on the saying "Don't sweat the small stuff, and everything is small stuff", but another saying is true, "this too will pass". It probably doesn't help much now, but better times will come, and hopefully soon. You are loved in blogland and we are all praying for the best for you.

It's just plain dreadful and depressing. I got quite cranky yesterday when I was in town and saw a man hosing his footpath.
take care Chooky and I hope we hear from you soon because that means there has been some rain.

Bloody mice! We had one come into the lounge room on Saturday night then yesterday, I found one in my small recycle bin, in my sink cupboard! Bonnie the cat got a snack!
We've had a small break in the season but rain clouds come and go with nothing in the guage. It must be so disheartening for you.
It's lovely to read everyone's comments, from all over the place, so take heart in the fact we are all praying for rain for you and that your spirits lift too. A farmer's wife is one of the hardest jobs in the world, I take my hat off to you.

Hugs, Joolz xx

You are certainly getting more than your fair share of plague and pestilence recently. Heat... fire.. dust.. bugs and now rodents! A lot of camels I know would be wearing back braces for less! You are made of tough stuff and your heart must be as big as a frying pan because you are still standing! OK... you are feeling battered and worn down but that's not going to last. It WILL rain. Hundreds of your friends/readers are willing it for you. Just hang on in there a little bit longer girl...... Now.. I must get back to clearing up wall to wall cat poo! Two pussies with gastroenteritis is no laughing matter. You wouldn't happen to want one would you... help you with the mouse problem? :o)) Big hug......

Hey Chooky. Australia is such a topsy turvy place. Everthing so wet in Qld (but we didn't get rained on) and then as we came back south it turned dryer and dryer. Things are drying off here now as well. Let's hope you get something soon and that is the last of the nasty little squeakers. Hang in there.

Yup. You are copping more than your fair share of difficult situations - as you can see we all care and would like to send the solution - rain, rain, rain !!! Hang in there, you are never alone.

Keep positive Chooky... life is full of bumps and we are human and have far to many emotions in our systems... I know from experience that the word ''drought'' is a horrible ''black cloud'' that hangs over people of the land... it poured with rain in Perth last night but nothing on the station and we are looking like you wondering if the clouds will appear soon... put that glass out so when it rains if fills for you xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

So sorry Chooky. Wishing you some snippets of peace and calm and definitely no mice. We have them in the walls at the moment and had to throw out a stack of fabric where they had been playing in my sewing room. Cherrie

Yes, rain would be great. Proper rain - not just light showers that go nowhere!

Nice pile of dust and bugs, Chooky ....Not the average dust bunny!.....
Our car transmission cables were eaten by Rats when we were at the farm at Easter.
On another visit the front door was wide open and the Rats had made themselves very much at home inside the house!!.... That was YUCK!
I wanted to believe they were possums because they are a bit cuter than rats!!..But No.. THey were Rats!
fingers x'ed for the rain gods this week.
Xx Lea
