sitting on the front verendah trying to find a breeze but there is none...............the silence is amazing..............way over in the paddock the kookaburras are doing there last call.......a cow moos gently in the front paddock.............a stick cracks that the cow steps on and the crickets are making their night noises.......a night bird makes a noise I recognise but not sure what sort it is......... Mummy Willy gives a warning to the babies that are just starting to sit out of the nest today........they will be flying tomorrow............well trying too............... darn the water pump cuts in and breaks the silence............... I live in heaven away from all the evil of the world............ i'll leave now as a baby calf calls for it's mother............. ........take care til next time.....Chookyblue......... |

I love waking up to the birds in the morning. Something to be said for the stillness, and listening to the sounds around. Lots people never "hear" them. And why anyone would go for an early morning walk with those things in their ears instead of listening to the birds waking up I can't understand. (My apologies to anyone who does).
Love being woken by the kookaburras in the early hour of the morning. Well before the sounds of the suburbs came to life. Could think l was a million miles away from town.
Sounds Perfect x
It is freezing cold here.
So good to read that you feel blessed living in your spot on the globe, far away from evil....
Please, keep seeing and mentioning the beauty in life and the world.
Thank you so much for this post.
Blessings and a big Dutch hug,
Jeanneke.
Sounds beautiful. Be forever grateful for where we live.
Sounds idyllic
Sounds wonderful. I do miss sitting outside in the country & hearing nothing but the natural sounds of night time. Hugs,xx
Can't beat the sounds of silence..............except for nature. Envious. Love your new look blog. So sad I couldn't do the SAL with you but have learnt not to bite off more than I can chew now (how long has it taken????) and this year is ending up busy. Oh well I will have to live vicariously through you and the girls.
I find the Internet an escape from the evil of the world at the moment. Lots of lovely craft inspiration takes my mind away from the horror. The peace and quiet of the country must be amazing.
A great word picture, Chookyblue. I can relate. I love your blog. You keep it real. Thank you. Today we have rain. So I'm wishing you some too. Hope 2015 is a good one for you & yours.
