I had just heard Barnaby Joyce on ABC talking about this just before I read your post. This sort of thing really gets my 'craw'....such greed by govts and mining companies. At the moment in Qld there are ruined farmlands and now that the mining companies are pulling out for whatever reason, the towns are devastated economically...so people leave and the state govt cuts even more services as a result. Sorry Donna, I'll get off my soapbox now and visit the site to sign the petition. xx
