fussy playing..........

Remember his bundle of goodness from the last post..........
Especially since making Lucy I just can't look at fabric the same way anymore........
I even want to cut up my new PJ pants.............best fussy fabric.........
Here is a better look at the fabrics..............
I just could not resist pulling out the fussy cut shapes and mirror to play..........
1 1/4"diamond
amazing the different effects of moving it on the fabric...........
1" hexie using a plainer brown in the centre.........
1" Lucy blocks or elongated hexagon
Same sizes different fabric play.........
amazing the other patterns that develop..............
Lucy blocks and diamonds..............
imagine the bottom left with the pattern cut in the block above it coming out in the corners for the next round..........think I have to go cut that out.............
I only saw that now when I was looking at the pics writing the post.........
go on I dare you to play..........
you know you want to do it.......
Catch you later.......

It is funny how we hate to give something up that we put so much heart and soul into. Maybe another Lucy Boston in the future or a different "hexie"? I have two boxes right now labeled "hexie fabrics" so I know just what you are saying!

Love it! You know I have one of those mirrors and I forget to use it. I need to get it out when I’m cutting for my La Passacaglia rosettes. :-)

What fun! I should pull out my Lucy Boston blocks and get back to work on them. I need some handwork to do while I sit with a friend in the hospital for a couple of days. They would be perfect! I thank you for posting about them today! XO, karen

Just so you don't start cutting pieces out of people's shirts while they're walking down the street!

This was real fun. I enjoyed looking at all the possibilities one fabric can offer. I understand what you mean by not looking at fabric the same way anymore. WOW. I would spend an entire day just checking all my fabric if I had such a tool. Too cool. ;^)
