goodbye 2016...........

Another year in ways I would prefer to forget then to remember..............yes there were some highs but also some crap...........some crap will linger onto to 2017............after 14.5 years I am moving onto a  new job...........only seems like yesterday I started this one........and not even one word of thanks for all those years service..........disgusting really..........so 2017 will be a fresh start work wise...........
this week I got to enjoy some beautiful sour dough bread made by a lovely friend..........our daughters are friends and when she arrived for a few days holidays with Fairy Girl a couple of loaves arrived with her................
2016 has been one of change too........there is now less of me which is great............fitter and healthier then I have been for years..........had to buy lots of new clothes which was nice.....threw piles out........never want to wear them again........I had some of the foods that I don't eat anymore in the last few weeks and truly was disappointed when I ate them again.........
&&&&
2016 has seen the major ups and downs weather wise...............to dry and feeding then to wet.......had some of the worst trips to town in the whole time I have lived here this winter/spring.............and it is very dry again now..........we have dry feed but nothing much of use in it feed wise for the stock............
the last few weeks I was going to spend lots of time in the Chookshed but we have been busy with farm stuff, visitors, etc..........then when it seemed to quieten down it has been too hot.............
&&&
December sure is finishing on a high which is probably why I feel tired and drained as the Avg daily temp has been 35.8deg...........so it has been a very hot month......and Jan is usually hotter.........yesterday was 42 and today it is 37 and it is only lunch time so will get worse too.........
Crafting wise I have enjoyed some great workshops with friends but I would like to fit some more time into the Chookshed next year.........Its been a little neglected of late.........
&&&
And finally I would like to thank you my readers and commenters who visit and make  my time here in blogland what it is.........blogging is a special thing to do and I have made some great friends thru this www................no I won't be going to the darkside this one take enough of my time.........
Hope to see you all around in blogland in 2017.....
remember to
"Keep the love of blogging alive"
Catch you later.......
Chookyblue.........

Good luck on the new job. Employers do not realise the impact these decisions or a simple thank you can impact on one's life. 2016 has been pretty sucky for a lot of people, just one of those years I guess. Keep on with your blogging mates, they are an important part of our lives, I instagram quite a bit rather than blog, this year I am going to do both. Happy New Year to you and your family xx

Best wishes for the New Year and all the new opportunities that present.
Sharing the quilt exhibition and the day in the city with our little group is a very happy memory to keep from 2016.

Well, 2016 is just about done and dusted. Here's hoping things will be on the up next year (except your dress size). I do hope you get to spend more time in the Chook Shed and the new job goes well.

So good to know that you are feeling healthier and got to buy some new clothes. Fantastic that you tossed out the old ones. No going back there. Sorry that you received no thanks for your years of service in your last job. Very rude! May the year ahead bring you an abundance of all good things.

All the best for the new job! As an employer now, I realise the value of good staff and value their commitment too. I believe if appreciated and treated right then they perform their job much better and it makes a much happier work place. I have some great friends at work. That bread looks great...love a good sour dough! Happy new Year!! Xx

With life, there are lots of good times and not so good times. You are strong, you have a wonderful family and many friends (close and far away on www) and you will just lift that chin up and carry on. We are all routing for you!

You mentioned about going to quilt in the chookshed ... have you ever shown where you quilt? I thought you quilted in your home.

It has been cold here and even with the heat on, DH and I are snuggling under quilts for extra warmth.

At our place, 2017 will bring forth new quilts for use and for display. I'm finishing up quite a number of tops into finished quilts. Time for a breath of fresh air. That is what I am looking forward to.
