This is Moo and she came just after I shared the pic of Baa (who now has a name)..........maybe she was a twin or just had a neglectful mother....
Moo is a girl and Baa is a boy.
Fed them tonight with Boy Wonder we did one reach.... then went to put out lick blocks (think of it as a vitamin/mineral boost for the sheep essential when very very dry) and check dams which are getting very low with muddy edges.....had another couple of sheep stuck in the mud...... One dead one alive...... Boy Wonder got the one that was alive..... The dead one I dragged up the dam bank..... Was not really in farm work clothes still my nice town work clothes... The things you end up doing... I was only supposed to be driving.....Oh well jobs are done..... Now to find a frozen meal or 3 for dinner....
I always freeze extras for this purpose......
Catch you later....
Chookyblue.....

Moo and Baa are beautiful babies but it's sad about the reason you have them. I hope for rain for you. You can surely have some of ours if we could only redirect those clouds. Your ranch posts are always interesting to us city folk.
Moo is beautiful. Farm life can be so rewarding and so tough! I miss the good parts, but will never miss the sad parts. I'll never forget the day I looked into my neighbor's pasture and saw what I thought was a fawn, but soon found out their pony had foaled in the night. They didn't even know she was carrying. We named her "Surprise"! Those are the good parts. I find myself wishing for rain for you once again. Do take care!
Awww another cutie. Hugs, xx
Welcome to Moo! She is adorable. We also try to keep a few frozen meals around for those evenings when things don't go as planned. --Andrea
Moo is a cutie too! Here's hoping rain comes soon and fills those ponds!
The things we do indeed. Hope you get some rain soon. xx
Farmers get all the fun jobs! You did well, no way am I strong enough to drag a dead sheep out of the mud! Must be all that walking :)

Hope the town clothes survived, Chooky, and that all the members of your family, including the new ones, are doing well. Fingers crossed you get some rain soon.

Looks like you've been busy with everything. I just love how your Lucy blocks are turning. So fun to see fabrics that I am familiar with and may still have in my stash! So sorry to learn that it has not been raining much in your area. Wish I could send you some of our rain. There isn't a day that goes by that we are not experiencing rain. I'll take it any day over a drought. Keep well my friend! Cheers!
So sad its so dry AGAIN... what farming can you do that requires no rain... grow cactus...I am sure there is some lucrative cactus plant somewhere that will grow out there......LOL
Wonder boy seems to be a good foster parent these days ... say hi to him for me ... take care my friend.
