Lucy and flowers......

nothing much to say other then 10 hrs in a car as passenger you can get a fair bit of sewing done.......so once I had the cream on the other block in my last post I started sewing some new blocks............
I think it takes about 3 hours to sew this together..............anyone else timed how long this takes to sew together........just the sewing............have not included the cutting and gluing..............
some flowers along the way...........
this one looks prettier then in this photo........
these are all from Shiralee Stitches..........the ones I prepped last month........
these will be in Lucy2

this one now just needs it's next set of red pairs added on.............
Could have nearly got it finished but fingers were getting sore from stitching and after 4.5hrs with a 10 min break I had had enough.....
my tally for Lucy is over 50 blocks now............
never to late to start a Lucy.........
Are you doing Lucy????
How are you going with your blocks and quilt????
Catch you later......

Wow, you're making two Lucy quilts?
The blocks look wonderful... I'm sure the blue is not as bright as it looks in the pic... you're clever to be able to stitch so well in the car!

You're so lucky to be able to sew in the car, I can knit, but not sew or read so I make a bored passenger. The Lucies are beautiful!

Your blocks look lovely.
I have tried EPP and didn't really enjoy it. Too much fiddling about for me.

Nice blocks Chooky...yes they take ages don't they, but a great project for long trips...I wish I could see as a passenger...I can't even look at a map!

so good that you can sew while in the car...Maybe I should try EPP - usually I just knit or crochet.

Beautiful blocks!! I started a Lucy in 2015 but I haven't worked on it much. I only have six blocks made. Since I started reading your blog I have been encouraged to pick Lucy back up. During the last two weeks I have cut out ten new Lucy blocks. I am waiting on my papers to come in to glue them and start stitching. I have decided to use your Lucy 2 layout . Your blocks are such an inspiration to me. I use them as my design guide. Thanks for sparking my Lucy interest again.

Such pretty blocks...I agree that it takes roughly three hours depending on if I have any interruptions.

More beautiful blocks Chooky, and great flower photos, 10 hrs in the car is a long time!! No Lucy for me, making little stars instead, I enjoy epp.

Beautiful blocks, beautiful flowers! I do like this pattern, but perhaps later, I already have a couple of EPP UFOs...A lack of persistence I guess!...
