Bursting to life.......

Goodness knows why somethings do what they do..... Feeling disheartened as a couple more roses die.... One had survived numerous droughts while every other rose in the bed with it died on several plantings....... And a few more scrubs have died...... These bulbs are springing to life...... If only they knew what was going on up above the ground would they really want to pop thru......
Catch you later......

  1. Hope your bulbs make it through the season, looks like you have been up very early this morning.

  2. Spring has finally arrived here just in the nick of time to save us from feeling completely disheartened. I am plagued by insomnia too and let cares and worries weigh me down. Where I am from, they would say we can't help it...it is the way we were knit.

  3. Some kinds of bulbs just seem relentless don't they! What a shame about the Rose ...... we've had one of the lovely gums die this year and I see a few others around the area have also died over the harsh summer! I lost a lot of the plants I had nursed from cuttings into pots to take with us ......they had done well until we got that day of 50.7 in summer ...leaves just turned to brown crackle

  5. Chooky, life is a strong and determined thing.....it sounds like you need a break from what sounds like a lot of things coming at you from many quarters......maybe those bulbs are there for you to focus on, a sign that there is a cycle and good things are there just waiting to emerge from the dust and dirt. I am not a farmer and I can only imagine the pain of heat and drought......just know that some of us do try to understand and know what a hard job farming can be......hang in there be like the bulb.....(((((hug))))))

  9. Lucky those shoots have come through. Nature is forever trying and often succeeds. A bit like our lives really.

  12. Can’t imagine what life’s like in your part of the world with the heat, the drought and all the hard work. The bulbs have come to fool you ;-) They should be here, but we’re having 25oC already today!
