You can do what ever you want but I use Feedly at present...it is a subscription service....it doesn't deliver posts to my email

basically I am always logged into Feedly and I subscribe to peoples blogs that I want to follow.........once you have saved the blog address into Feedly it stays there.........

I go into Feedly and if anyone has done a new blog post it will show up in there..........pretty easy.......but email me on the address above if you need help...........

Zoom sewing marathon..........

 OK so who's going to join me again this weekend..........

I don't need covid to ground me it only has to rain and with more rain forecast and the week off I may just be hunkered down at home getting some jobs done.....a chilly weekend to come........... the road to town is disgusting....only takes a few mls at present to make it to challenging for me.........

Speaking of covid the rules are changing daily and people need to keep up with them and do the right thing so that they can be lifted for all ASAP...........as of my typing the only one that really applies to me is wearing a masking indoors anywhere..........not going out and not planning on visitors at present so the rest are irrelevant.........that is unless the rules change again today..........

Also I'm now 1/2 vaccinated so that is good.........anyone else getting jabs in Australia.........plenty don't seem to interested.......these flare ups have sparked some interest though..........

Anyway back to the sewing front.......i've got a good bit done the last few days.........I'll share it in the next few days.........need to take some pics..........

ADDED To answer Janet.......the longest Marathon went for 15hrs..........anyway it's long just go with that.........till I get to tired.........

plan "f".......

So I'm on plan "f"of my week away....... Covid rared it's ugly head in Sydney so the theatre plans are off...... Visiting relos and friends in Sydney is off.......the quilt show is off..... Although I was changing my plans each day as things changed I'm glad the quilt show cancelled and hopefully I can go in Sept...... We are getting new dates for the theatre also.....

So I'm with my girl..... Found a patchwork shop while she was at work and did quilt a bit of damage but I found some precuts and I'm about to make a baby quilt or two with Later Alligator..... Unless I decide to start sewing the other two precuts i got instead.......woopssss well I'm missing the quilt show so what's a girl to do.....

The final wrap....

wow the weekend just goes too fast...........Chookshed party all done for another year........

Miss Jules could not find her binding so she finished this one she was working on........

I was thinking of hand sewing but as the lounge was full and this quilt needed to be pieced I got the top together and the first border........its looking pretty........

I was working on some leaders and enders and got all the 4 patches together on the left..........it was just a random pile of fabric in a box from I am not sure where............and I am still deciding what to make of them yet............how to finish it.........maybe what is there is 2/3rds of the blocks...........

Ali worked on this braided quilt.......yes its crooked but I was in a hurry sticking them back up on the wall and she hasn't finished the two left rows hence they are longer in the photo too........its from one of the Jelly Roll quilt books.......she has 4 more rows to make...........

2/3rds must be the go as Lea has that much together of her quilt also..........

Up close where she had started to applique the pictures on...........

Kate was cutting heaps of hot water bottle covers and wheat packs..........OMG you could not have enough of these at present it it freezing the cold front at present is very strong........very windy and showery.........lots of snow about futher south...........we never get snow.........

Suze worked on these 3 wraps adding some applique.....

they are all a lovely dark blue but the light is a bit funny in these photos.........

Annette did some applique..........she has heaps of blocks to applique to back ground..........

she also did some spinning and I missed taking a photo........

Morning tea one day...........Kates fresh strawberry jam was a treat with the scones and cream........

Miss Myrtle Mae Muggins was looked after so well..........

Yesterday I left her in a cage for the day and she was frozen last night when I got home.........poor little treasure was bright as a button after some warming and a tummy full of milk.........

Sunset with a jet passing over...........it was sooooo pretty..........so calm....

Of course you need champagne and nibbles to enjoy while watching the sunset...........

we were all rugged up..........it was a pretty cool weekend but sunny........

And then just like that the weekend ended.....such a great group of girls to spend the weekend with........fills the soul.....7 is the max......filled the Chookshed and the beds......

The party has started.....

I'm always awake before the rest of the girls...... Last lot arrived late last night and the noise increased dramatically.....

OMG so much fun...... Yesterday was spent tidying and reorganising the Chookshed...... Annette kept me company...... I've got to fit 7 of us in here......

Working on this quilt....I have already seen 3 blocks together and added to the main quilt.....I need to get it finished so I can pull it off the design wall......

The 4 patches are a random bundle of fabrics that landed at my place..... Not the most accurate cut blocks but I'll see what I can salvage from them..... Just using as leaders and ender's......

Slight reverse stitch as a block was cut a bit too short......

Perfect way to start the day......

Heaters on out here in the Chookshed..... Fires burning in the house...... It's just coming daylight and I'm sure there's a fog or low cloud out looks very bleek at this time.......

I know a few of you are sewing at home with us..... Have fun .....

farm update.......

I got a present today.........not that I really wanted one but in cases like this you don't get a choice.....a damp wooly bundle who got mis-mothered during shearing.............

She's a picture of style now with her colourful jumper......

Welcome Myrtle..........Lucky for me Annette is here so she has done a couple of feeds.......

She's survived the night.....I can hear her bleeting for her milk this morning........shes in a box in front of the fire to keep her warm.........

Shearing this week.......So I was mustering one afternoon.......up there in the dust are some sheep..........

We had a change come thru and got some lovely rain that night.........

As usual it will make it a wet trip in for the Chookshed's 9th Birthday party this weekend........

Full house this year with 7 of us so there will be lots of sewing happening in the Chookshed.......

All the regulars will be here for the party.......

My Little Red Hen......

 Today we farewell a special friend...........my Little Red Hen aka Jan...........

We were friends online soooooo many years.....

fortunately we have been able to meet up quite a few times........

She and her Rooster came and stayed once at home....maybe 2015?

Can't find any pics from that trip...........

This was taken when she passed thru town and we met at Kylies art exhibition..........

2017 or 2018 I just can't find the post right now.......
