Life...........

My head was hurting my motivation was so low but I dragged myself out of bed and went for a short walk.......
OMG the night sky fills my cup...... It was darker when I started so I saw lots of satellites including Starlink just as I left the house..... Perfect timing ...... Not the best view I've had but definitely could identify it........ There were lots of other satellites this morning also...... Several meteors...... So cool when you see them...... Should have gone a bit earlier, might try that tonight as there is a meteor shower around at present........
The air was perfectly still......I could hear the neighbours dogs barking off in the distance miles away...... Occasionally a calf bellowed.......
As the morning woke so did the life.....I heard a Willy tweeting near the house...... Ducks over at the dam......
Slowly the day appears......

I'm so fortunate to have this beautiful part of the world to walk in....... No cars, no people, no noise, most importantly I feel safe walking along in the dark when many cannot take this opportunity or take a risk on their life if they do.......

I am scared of the dark except when I go for these walks.........I feel safe with the light of the night sky........I am not sure how to describe it but I am in awe of it and it fills my cup........

What fills your cup?

Catch you later......
Chookyblue......

It's not called "big sky country" for nothing, is it.

Cold clear mornings before sunrise also fill mine.

And the silent sounds of nature around me.

Beautiful photo Chooky and so glad it filled your bucket too. I love my early morning hill walks - getting up amongst the mist and no one around for miles (it seems) but I'm inspired to leave the house a little earlier tomorrow to soak in the proper dark.

The night sky in the country is just awesome.

The night sky is amazing, especially when viewed as you do, in a truly dark zone. I love the sound of the waves lapping at the shore, or a babbling brook.

Lovely to have such a great view of the sky - no light pollution! Makes it all much easier to spot the stars and satellites and so beautiful. xx

You are lucky to have a dark sky and to be able to catch a photo! And that you appreciate it.

I love the early morning like that, as a midnight sky lightens with the dawn. You are truly lucky, no light pollution to mar the perfect grandeur of our universe.

Oh, I am so glad to hear that the night sky clears your head and gives you pleasure! People always ask me why I get up so early and it is because I love watching the dark turn to light. (and I love the quiet!) I see that I have missed yet another Zoom chat! I just can't seem to get myself on the computer these days. Haven't picked up email all week. Looks like you had a super Scrub Stitching time!! Enjoy your day. Hugs!

Very peaceful with the dark sky and slow light coming up. I'm a bit like Lou - the ocean waves would be perfect for me - with the sun setting..or rising if I have to! LOL

Good post Chooky, had to think about what fills my bucket.....prob once I would have said quilting, but these days it has to be travel and especially a view by the river or water somewhere
