quilts, wood, cows...........

Another month has almost disappeared..........
that means 1/2 the year is gone..........
Last post I told you we were pulling down a fence........I pulled the barb off the top and left it on the ground. Last weekend I went back and had a go at making some barb wire balls.............
they are still a work in progress and they are coming along ok.............
This one was going ok..........at the other end of this length of barb is another ball being rolled this way..............it's not too slow a job..........fiddly and a little challenging to get started.........you need a helper.............a decoration for the garden...........

There were some quilts hanging locally in Outback Arts Gallery.............I only have a few pics to share............But I had one hanging below on the right.............
They only had 1/2 the gallery this time but some beautiful quilts on display................
I got over to The Crafters Cottage last week............got a few more bits for Chapel Street........just for a bit more variety...........some fancy zips and a roll of fabric..........I think it is 3in wide..........
The sunsets and sunrises have been rocking out a great display..............
always good to see a full dam..........
That big log on the ground was the target for wood chopping............
Big old box tree that has been on the ground for years..............
Diesel being king of the log..........the first time he walked on the log he was shaking like a leaf.........but then he got the hang of it..............
Some nice good wood to keep us warm this week.................
Playing with the cows in the cattle yards and this calf was camped on the ground and she was not worried by me at all.............
Those eye lashes...................
One heifer was very close to calving so we left her in the yards for the night.........I went back just after dark and she had just calved and the calf was on the wrong side of the fence so I had to sort that out..........it was still all wet and gooey from being born............
they have mothered up well.............
I love baby calves..........they are my favourite..............
Catch you later...........
Chookyblue.........
