The weekend before Christmas Fairy Girl was home for the weekend...........Sadly she repossessed her sewing machine that I quite like using and she was searching thru her stuff to find some sewing supplies to take back with her............
insert issue number 1..........
Yes those eggs were found in the corner of her draw tucked under a draw full of fabric........they belong to a gecko I think.........yes one is still in the shed somewhere.........and when one got broken yes it did have a growing reptile inside............
Insert additional issue I just thought of but I assume you need two to tango to make baby gecko's???????????
Then of course if was terribly hot that weekend...........42+ deg C (108) and she wanted a drink of water from the fridge
Issue no 2 she discovered that the bar fridge was not working in the Chookshed.............
Problem solved............new fridge purchased and in place this morning.......Boxing Day sales and a a discount gave me quite a good deal.....I knew they had one in stock and exactly what I wanted that was going to fit in the space..........The old one was given to me by a friend and I am sure I had it for 10 years..............so it owes me nothing.......it was still running just not cold............we've had lots of storms so who knows if something happened in one of them.........
The Chookshed has been a bit lonely of late and neglected.......
Rectifying that now...........
Hoping to zoom soon.............just trying to work out what suits best........
Have to work 1 day and then go out to dinner that same night and that is all I have planned until I go back to work on the 5th Jan.........Relishing the quiet time at home..............
New Years Eve or New Years Day (my time) are looking likely at this stage...........
Sew the year out or sew the year in??????
Anyone have a preference??????
Catch you later........
Chookyblue..........
PS sorry thought this posted last night.......

That was rather a novel thing to find in a drawer. Glad you did find them. It worked out well that you were able to replace your fridge so quickly.
It’s nice that Fairy Girl wants to do some sewing, even if it meant she took her machine. How dare she.
Either day suits me for Zoom…….or both LOL.
Do you think the Chookshed is trying to tell you something about feeling neglected? ha ha ha...NY Day is most likely for me...or as Janice says...both! LOL...
Mmm, interesting find. Either time suits. I am not going anywhere. It’s been a while since I have been able to join in. I’ll look forward to seeing everyone
NY eve works better for me but I will try to show up whichever day you choose. so excited to hang out with the Chookshed.
I can do either, but at this stage NY day works best for me. Eek, reptilian eggs in the fabric drawer....we have some shopping to do this week too, while the sales are still on.
Either work well for me. Like you I've got lots of free time at the moment.
Yes, that looks like gecko eggs. I remember watching some hatch up in the Kimberleys one year.
Glad you found those eggs in time! Would be lovely to zoom with you all again - will try and join in if I can. xx
a great newsy post...no doubt you left the grands with plenty of hugs and kisses...
Fun post, what did you do with those eggs? I, too, am enjoying some quiet time before our house is torn up on Monday for new flooring. Ugh!!
NYDay works better for me but don't plan around me, go with the flow. Glad you found those eggs before they hatched! THAT would have been fun!
What a find. If you get a photo of them hatched... (or do they need warmth for that?) I'd love to see tiny gecko.
Ooh, I'd love to join in if I can figure out how to do it. We do miss your posts, but then I can't say anything. Interesting pot. Take care and hugs.
Oh, my goodness, finding gecko eggs in a drawer of my sewing room would not be received calmly!!
Glad you got the fridge issue rectified. With those temperatures, you need a place to store some cold, liquid refreshment.
In my head I am trying to figure out what your New Year's Eve/Day would be in my time. I am going to be at a quilt shop activity on my New Year's Day, but that is after your New Year's Day, so maybe it doesn't matter. I will work hard to participate when you have it. I've missed so many! It has been one crazy busy holiday!
My preference would be that I had one of those days off!! Maybe next time.
Definitely the Chookshed is trying to tell you something about feeling neglected...LOL
You may need to go buy a 6050.
I probably prefer NYEve, but day time is fine too at this stage.
Will you make it to midnight though if its NYEve??? LOL . . .I think not
Well, who would have known eggs would be there!!!! Lol, you must thought you had drunk too much hehehe.
Sorry my zoom session was so short. I had too much going on the first day, and got sick the second. I did enjoy the time I did get.
I didn't realize geckos laid eggs. There is so much to learn!
Your pieced magnets on your "not working" fridge brought back memories. Sylvia made some for me as well.
