19 on the 19th........

It truly amazed me that I have been blogging for 19 years..........
Blogger keeps throwing little challenges at us every so often which I think is why people have stopped over the years........
But I am forever grateful for
- the friendships I have made thru blogging
- the inspiration I have gained from this community
- the support I have received
- the things I have learnt
- the swaps and stitch a longs
- the encouraging words
- the motivation
- the squirrels that have taken me off on yet another new project
- the kindness shown
- the retreats and workshops I've held, found and been invited to because of blogging
- the many meals I've share with bloggers
- the wonderful emails/ conversations with so many different people that have been part of this community
- all the comments I've received on my blog over 19 years which has been a lot
- finally to those who are still blogging it's a special place to be in this instant satisfaction world we live in now
Thankyou!!!!
Catch you later......
Chookyblue......

I too have been blogging for 19 years but it was fairly one sided until I found Chookyblue via Hanne. I'm so pleased you allowed me to be part of your international community. All the virtual travel, travails, triumphs and friends are fabulous. Thank you Chooky and all the Chookshed stitchers.

How time flies! It is the best group of women to be a part of. 17 years and counting for me. Thanks for how you have brought so many of us together with the Christmas swap, getting together at Nundle and Baradine and now Zoom.

I feel like a novice here--it has only been 15 years for me.
But you summed it up so well, Chooky--all the wonderful things about blogging. And you have played a huge role in bringing bloggers together, with your Zoom sessions. Thank you!!
I cherish the memory of the day I spent in Sydney with you and other Chookshed Stitchers, and friends.
Looking forward to joining in on a Zoom again next chance I get.
Also--your photos in this post are stunning.

I have really enjoyed my years blogging, only clocked up 14 so not as many as you but it has been fun and I have 'met' some lovely people along the way. xx

19 years is a great achievement! I can claim 17 and a bit....and I continue for all those reasons, too.

Is a wonderful community, you have inspired lots Chooky and kept us together and blogging. 15 years for me, started out as a work learning situation and developed into quilting. Beautiful photos.

I love being part of an international community of sewing artists. I've been blogging for 12 years. You are right, so many bloggers have just stopped, but I think they just don't have anything new to say. It seems like that to me in the past year or so. It is becoming a struggle to come up with new things to do with readers, new designs to play with, and inspiration has taken a holiday. We'll see how it goes this year. But, I cannot stand Instagram, and will never go to that. I see too many people just scrolling, not stopping to read or make any connection. So, it is blogging or nothing!

Congratulations on your 19 years of blogging. I was only thinking this morning that I started blogging 19 years ago mid this year. It's been a wonderful experience with many friendships made...most online but also some I've been able to catch up in person xx

I am almost a newbie - 15 years for me - I started when Homespun released Breast of Friends. But then I discovered a whole world of bloggers including the wonderful Chooky....and from there things just moved right along. I had one sewing group back then.
A huge thankyou Chooky for expanding my world. I have made many new friends - virtual and real, I feel I have a wonderful community around me when things are down and no shortage of help and inspiration (in case I need a new project)
Congratulations & Happy Blogging Birthday!
