Strawberries for Fairy Girl.......

Look what i whipped up today............got this material from spotlight yesterday.........found the cool red check elastic ribbon also and thought this would be great for the straps..........Fairy Girl loves it...........

Patch's Place and I headed to the Patchwork and Needlecraft Expo........

This is the best shop at the Patchwork and Needlecraft Expo...........of course it is Cottage on the Hill from Nundle - Oh I spent way to much money here but I did have 10% off so that softened the blow a little (next post the shopping) Some of the Quilt Club ladies...........it was so exciting to meet them in person.........lots of chatter.......Here are more of the Quilt Club ladies - Happy In Quilting and Day-Day's Blog are both here with Patch's Place and Dragonfly...........
Here are some of the quilts hanging around.........all these are antiques except for the bottom right 2 - they are other quilts hanging around that i really liked......

My favourites of the antique quilts were the centre pic and the bottom left quilt...........the bottom left one was found in a second hand shop in the Katoomba for $15..........I love it..........
We also met Jelly Wares at the Expo.........we talked very brieftly then we could not find her when we left..........went and dropped Dragonfly home and had to quickly get some fruit and veg and ran into her at the shopping centre...........alas she came down to McDonalds and had lunch with us.........a quick phone call to Dragonfly and she was there in a flash............we chatted for about an hour it was great.............(to get us all in the one pic I cut Dragonfly out of another and pasted her beside us)..............

............I have just had the best time.............it has been just wonderful to meet some other bloggers as there are not many in my neck of the woods althought I have converted a few and hope soon that Gone Gardening goes public............she already helps do this blog but it is a group so would be great if she had her own...............I would visit all the time.............

........to top the weekend off we picked up Patch's Place - quilt from the quilt lady and man it looks great..............it feels special to me as it was the one she made this year at our Nundle retreat

What a trip away........

As Brolga's have a special meaning to me I saw this one on the way to the Patchwork Expo..........I want dh to make one for me..............after some jobs and shopping and getting heaps of wedding pics developed we went out to dinner............great company, dinner and location but dam well freezing.............

Here we are at dinner - Patch, Dragonfly and On the Hill and a couple of extra's On the Hill's wonderful helper (who was supposed to be on the coast) and her SIL. I am exhausted from staying up to late last night chatting and have had a wonderful busy day and met lots of blog people....sooooo exciting..........more news tomorrow....

I love the mail.............

Hi All

Wow the mail has been good lately and to start with I have present from my great friend Tutti Frutti.....is you read her blog you will know she has just had a trip to Japan.........man that girl did some shopping.........lucky she also got some material for me.........blue chooks............how cool is that.........and I love the others too, one has sheep on it and the other I love and think I will make a bag with..............I am sooooo lucky thanks heaps Tutti Frutti...I have never seen materials like this so it has opened up a whole new world - hmmm that could be dangerous........ .......Well Sharon and I celebrated our 100 posts about the same time so decided to exchange presents............this is what I got from her - a bag, 3 patterns, a little plate and she also sent some See's Candy........that didn't last very long and was sooooo good I especially liked the vanilla one.............I'm swapping with her again real soon

this is my favourite pattern and can see myself making this up really soon...................well 100 posts ago seem so long ago with Sharon as man that girl can post on her blog..........she must be up to 150 posts by now................she must go 24 hours a day and she always has so much to post about.............

Finally I have some material from the Moda Shangrila range..........I love shopping at Z&S Fabrics........they have great deals and package things so nicely............ these materials will go with the charm pack that I brought earlier.................

Emus out in the paddock the other day...........as you can see we need some rain............desperately again............

Off to a craft fair this weekend and will have dinner with Kerry and Dragonfly and Patch while there........

Today you need to welcome my friend Patch to blogland..........she is actually in the Santa Swap.....she was thinking about starting a blog so she could join my swap but the decided if I needed someone to fix a problem she would come in then..............she has slipped into a spot I need her a little while ago and finally these school holidays she has come out and we got her blog set up this afternoon so please head over and give her a big welcome.............I did an earlier post about her here...........

Okay so i have gone a little pink for October.................what do you think.............Breast Cancer Awareness month - give your boobs a check now and DON'T put it off............
I am feeling better - not 100% but getting there........thanks for all the kind thoughts..............I made it to the wedding and survived the day and then a funeral the next day................so today is a casual day and I was going to do some cleaning as we have moths at the moment and they are driving me insane every night and all dying in the house quite a mess and my vacumn cleaner died before I even got the bathroom vacumned............appropriate time don't you think................NOT at all...........

Hi all as I now have a camera I will today post the last of the pics people had sent me to use on my blog............THANKS heaps to everyone one who has shared their pics with me and Thimbleanna for the original idea.........
......these first 3 pics are from May Britt as she was at her local quilt store and the first 2 pics are the christmas fabric they have in and May Britt kindly reminded me that it is less then 3 months til christmas which means girls it is less then 2 months till you should have your swap present complete and ready to post at the latest..........

Next up the pics come from Sweet P - Paula and she sent me some pics of snow during a blizzard in the New England area in the US......................as we are heading into summer and it is forecast to be 35/95deg cel(95 deg F) here today, this picture may cool me down............

Thank everyone for your kind wishes on getting better and my new baby shown in the last post.....I usually reply to all comments but after being off email for a few days and feeling sick I will not be replying but merely thank you all in this post for your comments on the last 2 posts.......

......the family has gone to set up for the family wedding we have in the next few days and I am merely doing this post which I have played with over several hours (see really unwell) and laying on the lounge with the air con on for the day.........coughing, sniffing and sneezing all to my self with my box of tissues close by..............you know where to find me...........Tracey I would love to say I gave your kids my cold and then I would have got to met you but we are a little apart......hope they are feeling better..............

I'm here but not well.........

..........okay have just got back from a family reunion..........had a great time at a great location and caught up with lots of family.........

.....bad news is I have a head cold and feel totally like crap (sorry but that is the truth) my nose is running like a tap and I feel like I need to carry a box of tissues around and thankfully I have found a extra soft box as my nose is sore and red (call me Rudolph the red nose reindeer instead of Santa's Elf)

..... I have 2 funerals and wedding this week

......I have a new baby.........we have been playing lots over the weekend....I have taken a ridiculous number of pics and it feels great to be able to take pics of whatever I want when I want...........here I am with the new family member..........isn't she beautiful.........(dragonfly took the pic).......
