Another mini...........

when I opened this parcel from the beautiful Fiona @ Bubz Rugz I got such a surprise...........

I saw it way back here in September on Fiona's blog..........I did say in the comments could she make me one......I never thought she would actually do it........

so thanks so much Fiona......I just love this.....

I love the natives in the border print to.......one of my favourites......just can't grow them............

now with 2 minis I need to get one of those hangers...........

where do you find them girls???

a bonus SSCS parcel...................

My Secret Santa Christmas Swap Santa Sylvia @ Flickenstichlerei had an extra parcel in my envelope.............

This one said

"You never know what Santa is up to. He told me you have been such a good girl. You may open this on 6th of December or after"

Well as some of you celebrate Saint Nicholas on the 6th December I opened it then......

OMG it is a gorgeous needle book..........just so perfect for me............

a needle pad and some binding clips and some pockets below the binding clips for thread etc............

Sylvia I just love this..........it is so special..............

I've got some more blocks done for my blue lanterns EPP quilt.........

Not sure if I showed you my second block for my mystery quilt.........I didn't mean to use one of the fabrics in both blocks but oh well...............

it's just a mystery because I don't know what I am exactly doing yet........it will slowly develop.....I have some ideas and I am sure some will come as I go along.............not sure how fast but there will be lots more of these made.......well that's the idea so far................

And this is a project I am working on too.........been a bit slow on this one but this is Sandy's @ Shiralee Stitches first pattern........it's available here with or without a kit.......now the flowers are done I can move on............I've had too many distractions while working on this one.............

woohoo.............

Things sure were feeling soooooooo low last post...............It was the day with the most rain forecast and we got nothing.............I really thought we were done.............
I thank you sooooooooooooooo much for the beautiful comments you left..........I think all your good wishes and hopes finally worked some magic............

The change of my feelings came from a few things...............
I sold the steers for better money then I was hoping......
No massive prices that they keep talking about once this drought breaks but certainly better then the last lot I sold.........and better then I thought the market may have been................

even the poddies sold ok...........

Better still my Secret Santa Christmas Swap parcel turned up..............and tucked inside my SSCS parcel I was allowed to open straight way

now this angel is no ordinary angel.............

it's all the way from Germany and she does have special powers.............

OMG she sure did bring the rain..............

We'd had a few showers thiru the week..............nothing to really do anything much...............
BUT OMG the clouds just burst open and dumped 29mls on us.........
it was so heavy at times.................

there was water running around the house everywhere............

it's been so long since water ran around like this..............

So yesterday I was distracted with muddy paddocks...............I got my new gumboots out that I was feeling I would throw out perished with no use.............
and off  I went on the bike........boy wonder on another bike.........

My house dam got a nice top up..............

Further up the paddock revealed not so much rain.............but still wet..............
we still have some dams that have nothing much in them...............only what runs in from the edges.............

I found Curly Pop and had a great cuddle with her...........

I found this little black bundle who belongs to another Mum........I gave it a pat and checked it's a little girl before she hopped up and ran away to Mum...........

I found this gorgeous flower..........I don't find them too often but I know where a few of the trees are and I keep an eye out.......this was a new one to me that I had not seen before.............they aren't something I will pick and they are covered in ants when flowering but stunning.........I have to stand up on the 4 wheeler to see them well.............

the ants were super busy building up their nests.........

I found this lovely plant flowering in the garden..............

I really was splattered with mud..............I didn't care one bit.........I was a complete muddy mess and straight into the shower......I'd had heaps of fun............

Another storm brewing...........we got the edge of this one...........not heaps but a another shower.........keeping things wet............
It all came a couple of days late for the steers but when it is just storms you are either under it or your not........very heart breaking when your desperate and not getting it......
thank goodness my blue angel arrived and brought me some rain.........and thank you my friends for your support......
I won't be feeding cows and sheep for christmas this year..........yippee..........
lets see if we get another storm this arvo......little storm cells are popping up everywhere again......

Now if someone could work some magic on my house phone that has been playing up for nearly 3 weeks now and Telstra are still yet to FIX it............2 techies have tried.........

on a high..........

I tell you things change quick here at times..............I have good news to share...........couldn't do it last night as no power or phone.............still no phone............back soon.........

a sad day..............

I'm feeling like a yo-yo at the moment.............my mood is so up and down it isn't funny........

my mood is definitely down today and the stress levels up.............

the government powers to be say farmers should pay attention to weather forecast and make plans accordingly but when they stuff it up all the time how should we be expected to make plans on anything they say in the weather sections..................

they say El nino is developing which should mean we get no rain and we get some rain......then they say there is no chance of it forming and we should get normal rain and we get nothing..........

other times they put rain amounts on forecast and the forecast change so much before the rain actually get here..........up down up down.............and low and behold if they have something forecast and then start to refer to it as the "big NSW wet/soak"well then we are well and truly stuffed and meant to get nothing or not much.........you get your hopes up only to be shattered once again............

we've got a bit in storms this week but not enough to make a difference and with the end of the year approaching cattle sales and buyers shut down for a period...........

anyway todays the day.............I did mention selling them here but today was the day.............mustered........

onto a truck they go......my black steers (boys) .............all the poddies too..............

still hanging onto the heifers (girls) at this point..........very sad.........

let alone the financial loss you have...............

even more depressing is driving thru pelting rain today only have 1ml at home............

Don't get me wrong I am pleased someone is getting something but far out it's my turn..........

I want good falls with follow up.......living on a knifes edge is not fun.........

Bathurst Blog meet post 6 - the end............

finally all good things must come to an end............everyone was packed up before lunch........we got to relax and enjoy lunch before heading off to all parts of the state  (and one to QLD) with a bucket  full of friendships and happy memories............

So sad to leave these gorgeous girls............

but also happy that we will be back in 2015.......well most of us.......

all booked again.........The Vale Lodge will never be able to get rid of us now........

Thanks to my co conspirator Kylie we found the best venue.........

most girls travelled over 4 hours (one way) to get to Bathurst............from so many different directions............so very special...........so think about that next time you just pop down the road to meet up with some blog friends............
We may only get together once or twice a year if we are lucky but we will make it a good catch up..........special times...........

Bathurst Blog meet post 5 - more pics............

To say The Vale Lodge was the perfect location was an understatement...........

It was wonderful..............

everyone had their own room with ensuite, quite peaceful location, plenty of space for us noisy girls, great food and care by Vicki.........sewing room and eating room............nothing was a trouble....

smiling faces everywhere.............

lots of girls didn't know each other but the common thread of blogging brought us together........

remember that girls........"blogging" not the "dark side"

with new friendships made everyone got on so well.........
