new baby..........

Here is one of my treasures from the garage sale at my Nan's.............my nan died about 6 years ago and I am not sure when she used this last but I would say not in her last few years so this machine has not been used 8-10 years................so I managed to work out how to thread it and it still had a needle in it and a bobbin and off I went...............OH NO I thought not working...........it won't feed thru.............opps will help if the feed dogs are up not down...........lol...........then away she went...............beautiful............I have no other feet or manual............does anyone have this machine it is a Walton's Celestial Model 866..............apparently Waltons was a department store and this was badged for them............1970's I think..............

and in my recent shopping I found this very cool fabric .........little pigs all over it..........soooo cute..........

My pincushion hasn't landed yet so I can't quite show you that....

.........take care til next time.............
.......Chookyblue..........

What a find!
We used to have a Waltons near us, it was like a department store. I remember my parents bought a green velour lounge there, we thought it was really posh at the time LOL

Donna the Pope in Sydney is a great and important event.........enjoy His visit.
I still remember the emotion when some years ago I was in Rome and with surprise I've seen the previous POPE that was coming out of the hospital...........there were few people because the notice was secret........and after few days He died.
I remenber the white of His dress that was like a light and his hand greeting my husband, I, and five people next to me.
The surprise was so great that after His passage we were crying.

What a treasure your old Nan's machine.
ciao ciao

chooky we had a Waltons in Newcastle.. spotlight is now in the building! Waltons was like Norman Ross/ Harvey Norman with drapery etc thrown in.. mum bought a beautiful candlewicked bedspread there and our tent! sorta along the lines of Grace Bros without clothes (well I dont remember clothes)...

You'd think nothing else has been happening in the world with all the bruhaha about the pope in Sydney.. I am not catholic, but I guess can understand why his flock want to see him..

Oh what a fantastic machine...I got my Waltons Celestial for my 21st, that was 26 years ago and it still goes well but I have a Janome so it is my 2nd favourite now.
I can't wait to see what you make with your piggy fabric :)
