Thanks for all the comments on the last post more about that soon..........hopefully next post........

This is from a repro nine patch swap I will write more about once it get the top together....I have to cut a few triangles and then i can sew the 2 diagonal rows to together and the top will be together.............just trying to decide about the border..........it is quite big now but I have plenty of the chocolate brown I think so maybe a big wide border of that keeping it simple............what do you think..........
OR
maybe a thin border of chocolate then a 2 blocks (using 2.5in squares) wide run around using lights and darks then another chocolate border but I don't have enough variety of fabrics in the repros
and I just had to get Anni's new book as soon as it was in and it arrived in the mail this week............
In the life of a bag by Anni Downs Hatched and Patched.......
and what about this cute little project...........it has 2 preprinted stitcheries inside.......[thanks Deb]......
....Petite Sewing Kit....
a big wintery week coming up.......frosty nights and cold days...........I do like to feel like we have winter.........it has been pretty mild the last week or so...........some nice rain again last night.......
Catch you later..............

For what it's worth Chooky, the colour of the carpet that your quilt is laying on goes very well with your pieced blocks. How about a chocolate 1st border, a fawny 2nd border and then a wide chocolate final border. I think your quilt is just lovely.
hugs
Miche'le
hmm, think I have a few spider web shots similar to your last, s I'll go ourt on a limb and say that!
The quilt top looks great, well done! and what you do nect....you'll decide!!
Raining there? Tracey
The nine patch quilt is coming along beautiful and if you have enough of the brown it would look great on as the border.
cheers
Christine
Anni's New Book must be selling like Hot Cakes..have seen quite a few in Blogland...
Love the Rich colours in your Quilt...it Looks Great so far...
cheers
I am so jealous that you have Anni's book already!! Are there any extra projects than what we saw at Nundle?? Love your new quilt - I think a nice thin 3/4" cream border would look great - the same hue as you have used in the 9 patch squares
Oh I love that! Very nice. I recently bought some fabric to put my swap blocks together, but it isn't anywhere near as striking as yours. Maybe I'll have to rethink it!
Love your latest quilt and I am of no help with suggestions. I would say use up the brown.?
The book looks great and I love the little pattern.
Keep warm...
That quilt looks great chooky - ;p
Chooky the quilt looks awesome - I just did one similar with antique quilt blocks my father-in-law gave me. I did not put a border but that was only because a lot of quilts in the era my blocks were done did not have borders. I like it on point - I wish I would have done that!!!
Hey Donna! Love how your quilt is coming up and I had the same thought as Miche`le ... I thought small chocolate border, then medium beige/cream/fawn border, then wider chocolate border to finish. Whatever you decide I'm sure it will look fabulous! Bear Hugs! KRIS
I have ordered Annies book too, and hope it will arrive next week (from australia). Love your ninepatches. Keep on working on it.
I think I'd go the first option, what a lovely quilt. Anni's book looks great and the little petite set. It is very cold here, time for me to hibernate!!
I love the little sewing kit pattern.
Great colour combinations in your quilt. I love the pattern......you are giving me ideas!!! :)
Winter has hit here too. 5 degrees or less every morning for the last week and a couple of frosts. It got to about 9 yesterday! Brrrrr!
Ninepatch looks great...well done!
Looking great Chooky..love the nine patches set on point..

Hum.... nine patch and repros.... my favourite! Lovely quilt! Anything you do will only enhance it! Hey, did you get the envelop? cheers!
Your nine patch looks great!! I didn't know Anni had a new book out! I must have been hiding under a rock for the last little while!! ;)
Your work is most beautiful, my dear friend. Sometimes I don't even put a border on some of my quilts. Thank you for sharing.
Happy Quilting!
So what's Anni's new book like? Is it all bag patterns, or other projects as well?
Cold here in Perth too...brrrr....
Your quilt is divine!
Your quilt is going to be spectacular, any way that you finish it...I'm liking the wide chocolate brown border....
cheers Julz
The nine patch is looking good. I love Annie's work I have just finished one of her projects.
Love the repro quilt!
The book's great isn't it - bought it at darling harbour.
That nine-patch is sure looking good -- I love those blocks! It's so hard to remember that you guys are freezing when it's so hot here!
Love the repro quilt. It will look fantastic with or without a border.
Looking forward to seeing some projects from Anni's new book soon....
Hope you are all keeping well and warm. Bec xxx
Love the quilt - I have heaps of nine patches from a swap years ago and now I know what to do with them - great - thanks!! Thanks for sorting us out geographically as well today! HA ! I always thought you were down south somewhere! It was a beautiful 0 degrees as I drove to work this morning here on the coast so I bet it was so much colder where you are! And Anni's book is just lovely too! Keep us smiling!
That book is calling my name and that kit looks lovely too.
Gorgeous quilt - love those fabrics.
Margaret
Wow! Loving that nine patch.
Love the progress on the 9 patch quilt. If it's not cold enough for you in the country come down here. We had ice on the windows this morning - not happy Jan.
OOO!! I like the 9 patch so far. Would like some of 90 degree weather we are having in the states.
