playing with papers.......

I've been out watching the cows for a few days and after a visit to Sue Daley's stand at the craft show I thought right I have to do this.................perfect really for down the road as i'm just sitting there in the car.......NO POWER required...........
anyway I got some big diamonds...........thought it would come together a little quicker then..........not quite so fiddly...........
no idea what I am making them for but I am having fun.................
So today i remember I had a kit using these tiny hexagons...........
excellent idea to play with the big ones first and I felt much more confident today with these little babies............see the bobbin on the right near the scissors.......those sure are tiny hexagons..........
I have one of those steady tables - you know the kind you can put your dinner on to eat on your lap (blue)............well i never do that but my laptop lives on it............anyway it was great sitting on my lap in the car............everything was well balanced.............it has a lip around the edge and little things sit there perfectly............
hope you're ready for the cold weather we are going to get this week..............
Catch you later..............

I really love playing with paper and the fact that it is so portable. I have a green stable table and use it heaps. I have 2 rows left to do of Sue's red and white quilt. Love your tiny hexagons

Fun!!! Sue Daley did a workshop at our quilt group and now at least half of us are addicted to paper piecing lol. I'm making her "It Takes Two" quilt and I love it :o).
Enjoy ......

I love paper piecing too and it's portability is a winner with me. I was surprised when I saw the forecast for this week. Cold! Lucky I am in Adelaide this week. It's warmer than Melbourne!

Going to get?????????? We've GOT it here already! Wet, gale force winds and bitterly cold. Hmmn, I think they call it winter down here though :) Apparently snow to 400 Metre level overnight. Got my toasty warm flannel quilt on the bed. Hexagons looking great, Chooky

No rest for a quilter eh? You know the way my eyesight is going I don't think my arms are long enough to work with such small hexies, LOL.
thanks for sharing.
cheers, Miche'le

paper pieceing sure is addictive! I must get back to my hexies! Must get a stable table...I use a cushion now and things fall off it and Rose has fun trying to beat me to picking them up!

Glue basting set me free, love paper piecing now. Have lots of sizes and lots of shapes and lots of quilts busting to get out.

Cow watching isn't so boring as it sounds then! Great little hexies the smaller they get the cuter they are. Hope you had a heater on in the car!
