Cardy's visit..............

Wow we had a lovely time...............Cardigan  (as she is referred to by Bookworm) is a wonderful guest.............
drinks and nibbles Friday arvo.............
picked some mulberries and made a mulberry pie............ sorry forgot to snap pics of that...........
I forced encouraged her to do some TTS sewing (see the post)..............
she forced me to pull some fabrics out for my Some Kind of Wonderful (SKoW) SAL...........
I like them what do you think??? a base of 1930's plus others............
I found a willy wagtails nest right at my back door with 3 eggs in it........super exciting.......
Cardygirl and Fairy Girl made a marble cake...........mixing up the pink.........
swirled ready for the oven............
Cardy was on lamb feeding duties with Bookworm (even if she did get sacked)............

wonder how long this will take to get finished.............
this is her sewing stash she brought for the weekend...........Cardy showed me how to hand piece........must have a go at it............she's doing a great BOM hand piecing............i'm sure she will show pics on her blog.............it looks fantastic.............
thanks heaps Cardy for a wonderful weekend............even if I talked too much and didn't really achieve much I had a wonderful time..........
(I was a little tired and worn out to concentrate on sewing)..........
Your welcome to visit anytime.....
(...especially since you didn't take any of my quilts from the spare room....)
Catch you later..............

Sounds like a great weekend- jampacked with lots to do, such variety-but see you had a relax on Friday night- gosh I remember gathering mulberries when we were kids for mum to make a pie -and then the leaves for silkworms...unfortunately it is too cold here for mulberries to grow..

It sounds like you two are both good at cracking the whip, lol. I'll be watching out for a start with the thirties fabrics. It's been nice to have a peek into your weekend. Invite Cardy back earlier next year to help with the lambing, I bet she'll love that ;)
