Mother nature...........the week so far............dust storms, fires, sunsets and sunrises
Sunday afternoon on my back step.........smoke cloud........
out in the paddocks.......dust got thicker then this......
cool sky with the dust bank below...........
heading towards the fires.............
had no idea that at this time the fire had travelled 20km to the east and turned to the north with a massive fire front...........
reports are these clouds went into the sky 14kms...........

For Leanne...............sunset reflection.....if you look close you can see the moon at the top and bottom of the pic..........it's only tiny.......

was pretty still at this time............
Burning up Bullaway............
nearly 47,000ha burnt now..........
51 house, 110 shed etc, livestock? machinery?
I know one friend has lost at least 1400ha and it's still burning there...........so many people have been working on this all week..............stinker yesterday 40degC they have forecast 41 for today...........
it's been a very warm night.............32degC when I got up at 4am........ok better go back to bed..........
I took some more pics last night but have not downloaded the camera yet.............

Wow some great photography there Chookyblue even in devastation mother nature can do some pretty amazing things. I hope things cool down for you, that constant heat certainly saps you. Thoughts are with you.

Thank you do much for showing us whats been happening in your world this past week. It's scary stuff but strangely beautiful at the same time. Stunning clouds, smoke and sunsets. TG no lives lost in all the devastation, lets hope it cools down soon and they can get them out.

It's really dreadful and now the fires are starting back down in Victoria. Our area is holding a linen drive for the Coonabarabran victims. I was wondering : Are there many children in the households that have lost homes? Cherrie

Such amazing photos. It makes my blood turn cold just thinking about what those people have been through and continue to go through. I pray you and yours remain safe. I would do a rain dance if I thought it would help.

Wow Chooky what amazing photos of the fires. The effects of fighting these fires will stay with people along time and I hope and pray they stay safe and weather conditions improve for everyones sake.
They really are great photos, despite it being such a terrible situation. Hope it cools down soon. We had 39 here in Melbourne yesterday. 30 at 4am here this morning, but then a change swept in and we have only had low 20's today. Hope a change makes it your way!

so sorry to see that you are going through these fires. It is a sad thing. When I lived in California I experienced them around our house just about every year. pretty scary.
