mention a muddy dam these days and the kids want to go FAST.......
.....so yesterday afternoon we headed down to the neighbours dam to check it out.......
......there is a smaller dam to the left of the photo that is much lower...........
so in order to stay cool and wear the time away while it was still so very hot at 6pm we took some chairs and beers and headed off..............park the ute in the right spot to get a bit of shade..............
lots of kangaroos were wanting to come in for a drink...........
Patricia was telling me she was chief water skiing photographer the other day
heres my attempt at chief boat photographer..........
And she sent me her water sunset photo............does this one measure up Patricia????
I know it's not the pristine beach/lake views but it's very special to me..........
playing...........
yesterday morning Fairy Girl snapped these of bookworm mud boy...........catching little fish out of the drying up dam............
moving them to another spot..........
Hope you can find something to do to cool off.............
It was pretty dark when we left.........started counting stars.........
I do live in a special spot even if it is hot and dry..........
Catch you later..............

Cool off? I cannot seem to get warm! It is very cold Near Philadelphia!
Watching stars in the outback is wonderful. We lose so much of their magic here in the city.
Being hot isn't so wonderful though.
beautiful pictures and I love the new header... it is a special spot ... great catch mudman!

Your new header is magnificent, such a beautiful photo. It certainly is a land of extremes.
Great photos Chooky. The heat is really bad down south so I'm not going to complain about our heat here as you are doing it tough. Hugs....
Thanks for sharing, it's much nicer to think of warmth right now, rather than the cold outside!
beautiful pics of a beautiful place, well done chooky ,looks like the kiddies love the water.xx
Chooky, love your new header! Beautiful Sunset! You do live in paradise!
Gorgeous sunset. I think you win! :)

Great pics Chooky....love the sunset shots!...also love that you have a pool but the muddy dam gets the nod every time from the kids! You live in an amazing place for sure.....looking forward to visiting again one day...perhaps in cooler weather ...it's hot everywhere atm I think..... :)
Going to a dam to cool off is great. Any were is great when it is so hot. I am lucky we have to beaches 5 minute from my place and a public pool over the road from my house.
Love your photos. I hate when it's this hot, it's just too hot to do anything! I'm itching to do some sewing but I just can't muster up the energy...
Hi Chooky...love your new header picture, makes me want to dive in!! Shocking weather atm...so hot and dry, too. Kangaroos are loving our front lawn...husband not loving the kangaroos:) looking on the weather map for a cool change and some rain would be nice..stay cool..Suze.
Love your new header! I'm pleased you are finding ways to keep cool in this dreadful weather. We are getting to 40c today and 42c tomorrow with no cool change in sight - ugh! What a kind and caring boy your son is, moving those fish to deeper water.
Hope you can keep cool today - we are sweltering here. So far no fire outbreaks, I hope that continues.
Our power just went out at home but is still on in town at our dealership - might have to go home and get the mixer because I want to make pizza dough to take to the beach for pizzas tonight! Lol!
Stay cool!
Cheers - Joolz
You do live in a special spot indeed and it doesn't matter if it's hot, it's still special.
Cheers, Anita.
Love you pics Chooky....looks pretty special to me!
Doesn't often get very hot here, but jeez I reckon it's close to forty degrees today!
Great snaps. Hot here too but at least it cools down in the evenings.
What a great spot to sit and have a beer on a hot day..
That Sunset photo is just amazing...
We do live in a beautiful counrty...
We certainly live in different worlds! But can see the beauty in it all.xx
Thanks for sharing the great pictures...
bring on the rain, for the sake of the fish, garden and stock! Stinking hot 45C yesterday here, but we have a mild 32 today, so hope you get some respite too. I have enjoyed seeing your collection of thread catchers...but I think they look like great project collectors to me...eg all your bits in one basket for a project...or in the case of a big quilt - several baskets...just a suggestion. Love love your use of decorative stitches, did a class to learn how to use mine and all I do is stitch our surname onto school clothing!
Love the photos Chooky! Believe you are in for a heat wave this weekend-well that's what our News in NZ said last night! Hope you find a cool place, Michelle.
I miss the stars :(
Your photos touch my soul.
I saw on the news about the high temperatures. And also the fires.Hop you are away of this.
Its your own little bit of paradise Chooky. Sure beats looking at a fence, a road & straight into the neighbours house across the road. Tracee xx
Is it unusually hot and dry for this time of year for you? We are snowless so far for the second year in a row and it's cold but not bitterly like it's supposed to be. While the lack of snow is good for driving it isn't good for the water table.
Hope you get a cool change soon. Its been very warm here as well. Love it that there is a dam you can cool off in.
Oh Bookworm --"mudboy" are they really worth cooking? Love the sunsets.
Love your sunset..stunning photo! Xx
Love these photos, esp that stunning sunset! Hope the fish are doing OK, he's doing a great job.....
I hope your garden will recover quickly once you get some rain.
I love your sunset photo it's amazing, really fantastic...
love your water skier
Great pics :)
