The gorgeous lady on the left is a fellow stitcher and she was thrilled to receive a quilt from the CWA "Caring with Quilts" project........
She is an embroidery and stitcher and lost everything................
They are not going anywhere and will rebuild there lives.......
.......their little patch of paradise will be paradise again...........
I gave one to her husband also since I know he would appreciate the time and effort involved (being married to a stitcher) and he was thrilled.............
Catch you later..............

What a gorgeous quilt. I really feel for her. Losing everything. I just couldn't imagine. Mine are in the mail today.
Such a great post Chooky, good things can come out of these hard times. Also good that her hubby was included.
Makes my heart warm seeing this post. Such a wonderful thing you are doing Chooky!
I am sure this and all the other quilts will be treasured by these poor people. But it seems you can't break their spirit.
Wonderful thing you are organising Chooky. I need to look at my time schedule and staying power to get a quilt finished and off to you very soon!
Heel mooi quilt.

Thankyou for sharing this picture. It is wonderful to see the real life of where donations go to. Cherrie

how humble does it make one feel to be able to help in a way like this.
This is awesome.xx
Beautiful post Chooky. Hugs....
Now doesn't that restore one's faith in the generosity of our fellow humans - great work Donna! I'm tied up with donations to WA fire losses and that is going so well too!

Wonderful! I listened to the radio online, but didn't hear the segment you mentioned. I probably gave up too soon. (Too much talk of drugs in sport. Why would you even want to take drugs for such a purpose? Professional sport pales into insignificance when you read stories of people who have lost everything in either fires or floods. Get it together sportsmen (cause the professionals are mostly men) make a quilt (or your equivalent) and help those who have lost everything!) Sorry for the ranting comment. Love your work in organising this Chookyblue!
Did it work this time.. You are the best....
Well done you. Lovely post.
Wow the picture says it all. Just beautiful!
Lovely, so nice to see . ( mum thinks she will have a quilt finished soon, I will keep you updated)
Just perfect...going to someone that loves the craft as much as we do, beautiful quilt also

So pleased you were able to give something to such deserving people. It is a small start, but a wonderful way to show that people care.
definitely a difficult road ahead, for that couple....but hopefully rebuilding will bring them much joy
How lovely :) I'm sure they are surely appreciating that people are thinking of them.
