winter is on it's way...............

woohoo.............sitting here writing this in my tracky pants and a jumper.........the cool weather has arrived today.........I love it.....I love to have different seasons......no rain to report but it's been drab and cloudy all day..........I love days like this - we get so few of them........I could not live like this full time.....lol......will definitely be digging out some more winter woolies as Saturday is supposed to be pretty cold.....well 13deg Cel is very cold for us as a day time maximum and that is what they have forecast...............
bring on the autumn colour.............
it's got to 19deg just now the sun is trying to poke it's head thru but mostly about 15 all day..........
it's pretty brezzy from the south so the fire has been lit for the chilly night (5deg)......I love the warmth of a wood fire........
Whats the weather like at your place???
.........take care til next time.....Chookyblue.........

The weather is much the same here, and I love it. Although it was very hard to get out of bed today as it was dreary AND raining. We haven't lit the fire yet, but it won't be long.

Was pretty cold here yesterday Chooky, and the fire was lit last night. I just love that comfort of the fire and my 'boys' are right there. I'm still tossing up whether to light it tonight, and it is about 10 degrees C! I think my blankey and my stitching will keep me warm.

After the summer you have had, some comfort will be just what the doctor ordered.

Chilly here too Chooky; only 18C today but like you the wood fire's going so we're toasty warm inside (our little terrier has her bed in front of the fire and is in 7th heaven).

It is currently 21 here - its 9.30pm..and wet...but temps are expected to get down to single digits overnight during the weekend...loving it.
I'd lover some autumn colour...doesn't happen here.

Winter???? NOooooo. Dont like that thought at all. I am already thinking "roll on summer" - or at least spring.

It's spring here, Chooky, and most welcome after the horrible winter we endured! Snow upon snow upon snow and an ice storm that had us without power for days. Wishing you a winter of moderation . . . .

Ha, ha... 13 degree C we call it warming up in the Spring. I do have my woodstove going though, cause it is rainy and damp today and only 5 degree C. Looking forward to a few days at 13C maybe tomorrow, but forecast also calling for more rain...truly though it is better than more snow =)

Much the same here Chooky, although it will definitely get colder here yet, and so far the mornings are not yet foggy..... but the wood fire has been lit since Easter :)

I noticed we've got a 13 degree forecast for Saturday too, that's cold! I'll be dusting off my woollies today in preparation, and planning nice slow cooked food so we can have the oven on to warm the house. Enjoy your wood fire.

For the last few days we have been having thunder boomers with tornado's in my area...with loads of rain that we do not need at this time, my yard is a mushy mess!:)also hot and muggy to go with the storms...

Beautiful sunny morning here after a frost, going to be cool but lovely with the sun after some rainy days. Lots of autumn colour here too, heater on in the evenings.
Good to hear you are having cooler weather.

Cold? No Chooky, 13 deg is not cold! LOL
Keep warm. If you really are feeling the cold air, then it's a good time to be binding a quilt!

I'd lost contact with you for many months until just now- came across a comment you'd made on Stashmaster's blog. Nice to see you again! lol! We're in a drought here in southern Oklahoma, too. Miserable, isn't it? It's as if the AZ & New Mexico deserts are moving this way! It's always awesome to realize how small our world has gotten since the "internet" happened. Here we are just facing summer while you've got winter staring you in the face. Hope I get to visit your side of the world some day.
